Recap~ Lisa has a nightmare, Justin and Lisa sneak into the Huntington's yard, Lisa tells Dylan about her nightmare.
I woke up in my bed around 4:00 pm. The house was still very much alive. I stretched and yawned. I felt a lot better than before seeing as though I took that nap. It was still pretty bight outside, and I could hear the shouting of Justin and his game.
Is that all he ever does? Oh, wait I'm talking about Justin of course that is all he ever does. I lied in my bed for a while before I decided to get up. School was due to start in about a week. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. I didn't know what to expect I would be in a building all by myself and without any of my brothers.
This would be the first year. Yeah, I did have my fair share of acquaintances I talked with at school, but we kind of grew out of touch over the summer. Then there is Sally who left me without giving a valid reason why. I was still curious though, and I still held onto hope that she would come back.
On the other hand, there were those two girls I met at Walmart. I wasn't sure I could rely on them though. I had only just met them, and for all, I know they could be the meanest girls of the school. Then that boy Liam, but I doubt I will see him again. There were also the thoughts about mom and dad, and if they would ever come back, or would they stay away for good this time.
There were just so many questions rolling around in my head it was actually starting to give me a headache. I decided to dismiss all of those thoughts for now, and focus on seeing what everyone else in the house was doing.
I walked outside of my room and nearly bumped into some random person. We made eye contact for the longest time before I realized who it actually was. Meet Grayson, Dylan's friend. He was a 6ft brown hair green eyes gamer/pervert who apparently found Dylan as a good person to hang around.
I rolled my eyes and pushed past him. He was the epitome of a jerk and annoying. From the day I could walk and talk, he would try to hit on me. Of course, I always rejected him, because one his attitude wasn't my type and two my brothers would never allow it.
Of course, my brothers knew he hit on me, but they let him stay around because he was always there for us, when mom or dad got out of hand. He could be a nice and tolerable person when he wants to. But I promise you he is the only one who could do that. "Hey hotcakes," he said walking backward to Dylan's room.
"Get a life" was my reply back to him. I wonder if he even considers the fact that I am only 13. "Spicy as always" he said turning around and continuing to Dylan's room. I went downstairs where Jacob and Jason were discussing something. Jacob saw me coming and did some sort of signal to Jason.
Jason turned around and smiled. "Hey your up, did you sleep well?" he asked. "Yep, and I definitely feel better than earlier," I said. "Well, that's good, I could tell you were really sleepy," he said. Which reminded me of our show we were watching last night.
"Wait, did you finish the show without me?" I asked looking up at him. "No, of course not, I paused it the minute you fell asleep," he said. "Good" I replied. I heard my phone ringing from upstairs and went up to get it.
The caller ID showed Aerial. Huh. Should I answer or no? This was complicated. I didn't really have a social life and speaking with people I barely knew didn't really sit well with me. But I did want to make a new friend before school opened up so that only leaves me with one decision.
I answered the call before it ended. "Hello?" I said. Gee, I am already being awkward. "Hey Lisa, I was calling to find out if you wanted to come to a little get together with us later this evening?" she said through the phone.
"Oh, and Anna is with me too," she said. "Hola!" I heard her say. They wanted me to come to a get together with them. Wow, my dream is finally coming true. "Uum sure let me just ask my brother first," I said.
"OOh, can he come too!" Aerial said through the phone. I laughed and put the phone on mute. Here goes. I went to Jason's room where he was sitting on his bed on his laptop.
"Hey Jason," I said waving and sitting next to him on his bed. "Hey Sweetie," he said. I just watched him do his thing for a while. "So you know how I told you about those two people I met at Walmart?" I asked.
"Yeah" was his reply. I hate when he answers with one word in situations like this. "Well I was hoping you would let me go and meet them elsewhere," I said.
Jason stopped what he was doing and shut his laptop. Oh no, I would rather he not give me his full attention because then he could really think about what I am asking him.
After a minute of him thinking and me just about ready to explode he answered. "Ok," he said.
Wait did I hear him correctly? Did he just say ok as in yes? "Wait, really!" I said with excitement.
"Yep, I trust you to do what's right and be responsible for yourself so I am letting you go." He said. I was about ready to jump to the moon.
"Yes thank you thank you thank you," I said repeatedly hugging him. "Just promise me one thing," he said. I stopped and nodded for him to continue. "I have to meet them, and you call if anything happens," he said.
That was actually pretty fair. I'll take it. "Deal," I said hugging him one last time before going back onto my room to get dressed.

"Jason come on, I don't want them to think I am not going," I said. It was 5 already and I was waiting for Jason to get down here so that we can leave.
"Just give me a minute," he said. I waited by the front door with my phone in hand checking to see if I had gotten any texts from them lately.
"Alright let's go," Jason said coming down the stairs. "Jacob I will be right back," Jason shouted up the stairs. We then headed into his car. "Seatbelt," he said as he got buckled up. "Do you have your inhaler?" he asked. I checked my purse and nodded.
I strapped myself and we were off. "So do you know if anyone else is going to be at this gathering?" he asked. "Besides Anna and Aerial, I don't know," I said. "Hmm," he nodded.
I stole a glance towards him and gulped. Was he having second thoughts? Did he not trust me? "Is it a big gathering, or small?" he asked. "Uum small I think," I said twirling a piece of hair on my fingers. "Is there gonna be any adults?" he asked. "Jason" I groaned out. He was asking too many questions.
"I know, I know I just can't help but worry a little," he said. "It's fine, you trust me, remember?" I said reminding him of what he said earlier.
He nodded again looking straight ahead. I wish I could read his stupid mind and tell what he was thinking. My phone pinged, and it was the address of the gathering which was actually The Pizza Place. That's the literal name of it I'm not even kidding.
"Is that them?" he asked finally glancing towards me. "Yep, it's at The Pizza Place," I said. In about 5 minutes we made it to our destination. Jason turned the car off and got out. I was about to hop out of the car when Jason locked it.
I looked at him a little startled. "What is it?" I asked. "Okay promise me that if anything happens you will call me right away," he said. "Okay, I promise," I said. Didn't we already have this conversation?
"And don't do anything Dylan would do," he said. I laughed a little at that and nodded. He pulled me in for a hug, and I hopped out his car. I waved to him goodbye as I entered the pizza shop.
There weren't many people here, except for a small group of about 4 kids sat at a large booth in the corner of the restaurant. I spotted Aerials curly hair and Anna's pale skin tone in the group. There was also a boy with black hair who was slouched at the very back of the booth on his phone.
Aerial and Anna were talking to a girl sitting next to the black haired boy. She had short blond hair and wore glasses. I was not the best at making new friends so we will see how this plays out.
Aerial must have noticed me because she shouted my name all the way from the booth. I blushed a little. I did not like unwanted attention. I shyly walked over to the bunch and sat next to Anna who made some room for me.
"Hey guys this is Lisa, Lisa that is Sarah, and Lucus," Anna said pointing to the blond haired girl and then the boy.
I waved shyly at them and gave a little smile. "Hey it's so nice to finally meet you, Â Aerial wouldn't shut up about you," she said. I blushed some more at that. "What, I like meeting new people," she said defensively.
"By the way, the introvert next to me is my twin brother," she said nudging him. He looked up and glanced at me and waved, then returned back to his phone, literally so relatable. "Wow," was all I could say because they really didn't look much alike.
"Yeah, I know we get that a lot," she said. I smiled a little at that. The only thing they had in common was their green eyes and freckles.
"Anyway, I am starving Anna made us wait on you before we ordered pizza" Aerial said. "Well, then let's eat," I said laughing.
I looked at the menus on our table. "Have you guys chosen yet?" I asked looking up at everyone else. "It's just so much to chose from," Aerial said flipping through the menu.
"Oh come on just pick one already we are probably going to end up sharing it anyway," Anna said. "Maybe, but that still doesn't decrease the options," she said back. "How about we let Lisa decide," Sarah said quieting the girls.
Everyone looked at me expectantly. Even Lucus. "It really doesn't matter, someone else can pick," I said. "No come on don't be shy," Anna said. "Fine, let's do cheese," I said after a pause "The safe way, smart," Aerial said.
"Cheese it is," Anna flagged the waiter to order our meal. He came over to our table.
He was quite tall with short blonde hair and brown eyes. "How may I take your order?" he asked. Sarah did a little signal to Anna and Aerial winking simultaneously. I saw Lucus roll his eyes from where he was sitting and went back onto his phone.
"Yeah we will have two large cheese pizzas," Anna said. "Be right up," the cute waiter said. Sarah looked at me. "So tell me about yourself," she said. And yet again all eyes were on me. Why, oh why? I cleared my throat. "Well, I have 4 older brothers, and I love puppies," I said.
"Woah, four older brothers, do you even have any sisters?" she asked. I shook my head no. "So what do your parents do?" Anna asked. I got a little saddened at the mention of my parents. "Uum, I prefer not to talk about it," I said.
"Oh okay, sorry," she said. "No it's fine" I replied back. There was a small awkward silence. Even though my parents aren't here they still find a way to ruin my life further. "How about you guys?" I asked looking at Sarah first.
"How long have you been friends?" I asked. "Since preschool," Anna replied with a small smile. "Well at first it was just us three, and then mute over there joined in 2nd grade," Aerial said pointing at Lucus.
After a little bit of small conversation, our pizza arrived. It looked so good. We thanked our waiter and dove right in.
Since I got here that was only the second time I had seen Lucus looked up from his phone. I wonder if he can even speak. My phone dinged with a message. I looked down and realized that it was a message from Jason.
'Not having too much fun without me right?' It read. 'of course not' I replied back. I turned my phone off and continued eating. "This is literally the only pizza place I will eat at from now on, "Aerial said. "So do you guys have any siblings?" I asked directing my question to Anna and Aerial.
"Yeah, I have an older sister who is at college," Anna said. "I am an only child," Aerial said. "I think that was obvious," Sarah said laughing.
"Okay enough about our families, what do you like to do?" Aerial asked. "Well, I love to paint and in my spare time I dance," I said. "Ooh, you definitely have to show us some time," Anna said.
I blushed for the millionth time today and laughed. We eventually finished our pizza. I had yet to hear Lucus' voice. He did have a big appetite though, he ate about three slices of pizza alone. "Oooh since we are done, how about we head down to the lake?" Aerial suggested.
"Yes, then we can show Lisa our mystery box," Sarah said. I gave her a puzzled look. "You will see when we get there," Anna said. "I'm gonna text my brother before we leave," I said pulling out my phone.
"Ok, don't be long we will be outside," Sarah said. "Come on Lucus put that phone down," she said. "He rolled his eyes but complied. Yet he still didn't speak. They exited the restaurant and I pulled up Jasons contact.
It rung for a couple seconds before he picked up. "Hey sweetie, is everything alright?" he asked. "Yeah, we finished our pizza and we are gonna head down to the lake," I said. "Okay, is it going well?" he asked.
"Yep, I think they will be my new friends," I replied. "Well I am happy you're happy, call me when you need me to pick you up," He said. "Okay, bye love you," I said. "Love you too," I hung up the phone and went outside where the others were waiting.
"Alright let's go," Anna said when she spotted me. We began our walk to the lake, which wasn't very far, I'd say about 2 minutes. Sarah and Aerial were up front talking, while I and Anna were in the middle. Lucas followed in the back.
"So does Lucas ever talk?" I asked Anna. She spared him a glance and looked back at me. "He does, he just gets a little shy when around new people," she said. "Trust me, once you get used to him you'd wish he was this quiet," she said chuckling a little.
"Do you guys always come to this lake?" I asked. "Yeah, you could say that it's like a little secret haven for us," she said. I nodded letting the city life surround me. In no time we arrived at the lake and all gathered near it.
"You know I always pass this lake, but I never thought to visit it," I said aloud. The lake was beautiful. There were about 5 ducklings speckled on the lake. The water was crystal clear, it looked like a mirror.
"It's so chill and peaceful here, how can anyone not love it?" Aerial said staring into the lake. Lucas walked up next to me looking into the lake as well. "Beautiful isn't it?" he said. Wow, he spoke to me.
I smiled and nodded at him. We all sat down at the lake just watching the ducks and the water. There were quite a number of people here. A family of four, a couple, a jogger. All sorts of people were here.
One particular person caught my attention. It was my dad? I squinted to get a better look and sure enough, it was him. My breath caught in my throat. What was he doing here? How did he get here? I couldn't take my eyes off of him.
"Hello? Lisa," Sarah said waving her hand in my face. I was brought back to reality. "Uum what?" I asked. "We are going to show you are secret stash," she said. Okay, now that just sounds bad. I looked back to where I thought I saw my Dad and he wasn't there.
We got up and went to a small forest area behind the lake. We stopped in front of a tree marked with an upside down U. "Okay, it's here, come on start digging," Anna said digging up the earth. It only took about 3 minutes with all of us helping out.
Once we were done we hit a medium sized lock safe. Aerial typed in the pin and the box clicked open. Inside were numbers of photos and little keepsakes. "Every two weeks we come here and add things to this box, sometimes it's just a photo, or it can be other things," Sarah said sifting through all of the possessions.
"Yeah, we wanted you to add something to it," Anna said. I was a little taken back by the suggestion. "Oh come on guys, I couldn't, I just met you," I said in protest. "We know, but I can already tell we will be great friends," Anna said. I smiled a little at the thought of having friends as dedicated to friendship as they were.
It reminded me of the friendship I had with Sally, and how it went down the drain in under 5 minutes. I was a little hesitant about whether or not I should add something to the box, but looking around at the others, I realized that maybe they will be the true friendship I always needed.
"Okay," I said. Sarah clapped excitedly and Lucas smiled. He actually smiled. I took my necklace off that I wore today and dropped it into the box. "To a new friend," Aerial said aloud. "To a new friend," everyone else repeated.
I smiled. A real smile that has been held back this past couple of days. We buried the safe and began our walk back to the lake. It took less than a minute before we were back in our original spots. I looked around and there were even more people than before. Most likely because people like to come out more around the evening than the afternoon when it's cooler.
I glanced through the crowd of people when I saw him. I saw my Dad again. This time it can not be a mistake. He was sitting all the way at the edge of the park away from most. He wore a blue t-shirt and Jeans.
This time I was scared I would lose him again if I looked away. I think he noticed me staring at him. Why was he still here? "Anyway, I think we are going to head home now do you need a ride?" Anna asked.
"Uum no, my brother is coming to pick me up, it's fine," I replied. "Well, okay call us when you get home," Aerial said. "I will." "And, Lisa?" Anna said. I looked up at her expectantly. "It was really nice to have you here with us," She said. I smiled.
Her and Aerial both headed off. I guess they were riding together. "Well, we are gonna be here for just a little bit longer, my mom is on the way, are you sure you don't need a ride?" she asked. "Yeah, I am fine thanks though," I replied.
We sat there in silence for a little bit. I still wasn't completely comfortable around them just yet. A black SUV pulled up and Sarah and Lucas got up. "Well, that's our ride, well see you some other time," Sarah said waving bye. Lucas waved too, which was still a shock to me.
I waved at them and watched them leave. I decided now would be a good time to call my brother to pick me up. I dialed his number and after a couple rings he picked up.
"Hey Lisa, are you ready?" he asked. "Yep I am by the lake about a minute from The Pizza Place," I said. I looked around as many of the people started to pack their things and leave. And I saw him again, my Dad he was still here.
This can't be a coincidence that he is here all day. "Uum, Jason I will call you back," I said. I hung up and continued staring at my Dad, who sat in the same spot as earlier. Should I call out to him? Should I leave it alone?
We made eye contact, and he got up and started to leave. The curious part of me won the battle and I decided to go after him. "Hey, wait!" I exclaimed now running after him. He, in turn, started to run too until he was out of sight. I slowed down to catch my breath. What was my Dad doing here?
About 2 minutes went by before my brothers' familiar black car pulled up. I hopped in still staring in the direction my father ran. "Hey, how was your play date?" Jason asked. I glared at him. "It wasn't a play date, and it was fun, I am pretty sure I won't be alone in school now," I said.
I was still curious about my Dad being at the lake. I know it may seem like nothing but he was just sitting there, and he was there as long as I was. I don't know if that's a coincidence or what, but I can't help but wonder. Was he following me?

We got home in no time and went inside. The house was quiet, too quiet. "Where is everyone?" I asked. "Oh, Jacob and Dylan went to a friend and Justin is asleep upstairs," he said resting his keys on the kitchen counter.
I nodded. It is quite boring now that I am here, so, I might as well add some fun to the evening. I was about to go upstairs when Jason called me back down. "Aren't you going to tell me who else was there?" he asked.
"Oh, right The two girls I met at Walmart, Sarah and her brother," I said. He nodded. "I promise you will get to meet them," I said."Okay kiddo," he said ruffling my hair. I glared at him and went upstairs to my room.
I still had to get Justin back for pulling that prank on me that was meant for the sitter. I went into his room and saw him peacefully sleeping on his bed. How nice. Time to fix that. I hopped onto his back and started wiggling around.
"Wake up Justin there is a fire, there is a fire!" I exclaimed. "What?" he mumbled. "There is a fire we need to leave," I said. He sat up suddenly throwing me on the floor in the process. "Oof," I coughed out as I landed right on my ribs.
"Where is the fire!?" he exclaimed. I got up holding my ribs. "There is no fire dummy," I said hunched over. I could tell it took a while for his small brain to process what I was saying. "Lisa, why would you wake me up like that?" He whined.
"I was bored," I said. He groaned and flopped back onto the bed. Okay, then I just need to go bigger. I looked at his game console in the corner of his room. "Oh Justin, this is a nice console isn't it," At the sound of that he shot out of the bed.
"Don't you dare Lisa," he said looking at me then at his console. "Remember when you pranked me?" I asked. "Come on that was a long time ago," he said inching closer towards me. "Besides you'll never get away with this," he said holding his hands up.
If there is anything Justin values more than his video games, is his video game console. "Is that a threat, Justin?" I asked menacingly. I held the console up higher. I had no intentions of destroying it, I just wanted to scare him.
"No, no of course not," he said still looking at the console. I burst out laughing and rest the console back onto the floor. The minute it reached the floor, Justin lunged at me. I ran out of the room and down the stairs.
"You are so dead, Lisa!" Justin screamed chasing me around the house. He was fast, but I was faster. He nearly got the end of my shirt as I dashed outside. We ran around the house and around the pool.
I stopped near the edge of the pool. "Come on Justin it was just payback, I didn't even do anything to it," I said panting hard. That was way too much exercise for me. Couldn't I just get away with one thing just once with these boys?
"So, that doesn't matter, because when Dylan gets home he is gonna help me get payback," he said with that stupid smirk on his face. "Come on, Justin just let it go," I sighed. My eyes flickered to the back door, then to Justin.
If I run fast enough I could make it to the back door and then lock it. I ran like the wind to the back door, but Justin beat me to it. In a split-second, he slammed it shut and locked it. He stuck his tongue out at me.
Real mature, Justin. It was soon becoming evening and the wind was picking up. "LET ME INSIDE JUSTIN," I screamed. I went around the front to see if that was locked, and guess what? It was. The little prick actually locked the front door too.
I kept banging on the door in hopes Jason would come down and unlock it, and he didn't. Instead, guess what he did. He actually came down the stairs, saw what was happening, laughed then went back upstairs. I don't believe this right now.
I did the only thing I could do and sat and waited by the front door for Dylan and Jacob to get home. That's when I saw him. I couldn't believe my eyes. I wanted to scream out but couldn't. I was frozen in shock and fear.
It was my dad again. He was walking towards me. Am I seeing things or what? I banged on the door again, this time more insistent and hoped one of them would catch the hint. I looked back and my dad was still coming towards me, yet he was doing it slowly.
"SOMEONE OPEN THE DOOR," I screamed out, and this time there was no playfulness in my voice. I kept banging until eventually Jason came down and opened the door. I ran inside and shut the door behind me. I was not going to take any chances.
I looked outside again and he was gone, how did he move so fast? "What's wrong?"Jason asked noticing the panic in my face. "Nothing," I replied. He gave me a weird look and went back upstairs.
What is going on?

Here is another chapter, it was more of a filler chapter, but there will definitely be more drama in the next chapter. Don't forget to comment, vote if you liked and tell me what you think. Until next time.
