Chapter 26: ~25~ Nightmare

OverprotectiveWords: 30148

Recap- Jason tells Lisa and Justin what really happened when their parents came home.

It's been approximately 2 hours 5 minutes and 2 seconds since Jason told us what happened. I have been sitting in front of the TV ever since, trying to break things down as if it were some complicated scientific formula.

I really didn't want to think about things so much and I am sure my brothers felt the same way. Dylan came in from outside and plopped down next to me. "Are you just going to sit on this couch for the rest of the day?" he asked

I looked outside and the sun was going down. Well, there goes my day.

I didn't even realize he picked up the remote and started flipping through channels. "What were you doing outside?" I asked trying to divert the attention away from me.

"Well after you and Justin basically trashed it, I had to clean it," he said. "What, what are you talking about? What do you mean we trashed it?" I asked giving him a look.

He spared me a glance still flipping through the channels. Dylan and his car were like a teenager and their phone, they were inseparable.

"Last I checked we didn't trash anything, Well I didn't anyway," I said. Who knows what Justin does.

"You guys being in that car is the only excuse I need," he said finally settling on a sports channel. I rolled my eyes at his childishness. "Seriously?" I said chuckling. "Yes, seriously"

"Ok whatever you say," I said getting up but was immediately sat back down. "Hey!" I said. "Not...so....fast," he said. I gave him an incredulous look. "What's the matter?" I asked

He looked straight ahead for a minute and then switched the tv off. I gave him a puzzled look. "Dylan is there a reason I was slammed onto the chair?" I said.

He rolled his eyes. "Okay first off I didn't slam you," he said putting emphasis on slam. "And second of all I wanted to see if you were having any more nightmares?" he asked. His question sort of caught me off guard.

I guess I haven't had any since that time in the car which is a huge relief "No, I haven't had any" I said looking up at him. "Okay, good," he said. There was a brief silence. "But, you will tell me if you do, right?" he asked looking me in the eyes.

"Yes, yes I will Dylan we have already had this conversation," I said. I swear it's as if he is going to remind me of this every week. "I know, I know I am just making sure," he said. He switched the TV back onto the sports channel and watched it.

I sometimes think about what it would be like if I had a sister. Maybe she would not have put on sports and put on some other channels that I would be remotely interested in. It was getting pretty dark out, and I decided to go upstairs and find something to do.

I decided to see what the others were doing. I was about to head to Jacobs room and see what he was doing. I walked past the bathroom which was open and stopped in my tracks. Justin was seated on the toilet lid and Jason was giving him a haircut.

"Hey don't cut it too low I don't want to be bald," Justin said moving his head from side to side. "Oh calm down, it's not gonna be too low," Jason said holding Justin's head still.

"Just keep still Justin, or I will give you a very unattractive bald spot," Jason said. This made Justin sit still in a second. "Why do I have to get a haircut anyway?" Justin asked.

"Because your hair is getting too long and, you don't like to comb it," Jason said clipping some more hair. Justin only groaned out loud and put his head in his hands. "Hey, you'll be fine, stop exaggerating," Jason said back.

At this moment I couldn't hold my laughter in anymore and laughed out loud. "Oh my god this is too funny," I said laughing. "Oh my god Lisa, look what you made me do," Jason said covering his mouth with his hands.

Justin shot up and immediately ran to the mirror. "What did you do! tell me" Justin shouted anxiously. Jason winked at me and I knew what he meant. "Oh my god, it looks terrible, there is like a huge bald spot in the middle of your head," I said covering my mouth.

"Your kidding, right?" Justin said feeling around his head for the "bald spot". "No we were just messing with you Justin there is no bald spot," Jason said.

"Are you sure?" Justin asked. My goodness, it almost looked like he was about to cry. I didn't know he cared about his hair that much. "Yes, I am 100% sure, come on we all know I am a great barber," Jason said.

"Now sit back down your not done," Jason said picking the clippers up again. Justin reluctantly sat back down and Jason got back to work. Justin started mumbling to himself about who knows what.

"Oh calm down Justin I am sure you will have a great haircut," I said. He looked up at me and glared. I decided to leave that room before Justin took the clippers from Jason and came after me.

Dylan was still downstairs watching that dumb sports channel. I went to look for Jacob and he was in his room sleeping. Uggh why is everyone so boring. I hopped in the bed next to him, because why not.

His bedside table clock read 7:30 which is still pretty early for me, but for some reason I was especially tired today and was out like a light in a minute.

~Overprotective~

I woke up startled and in a sweat, I couldn't stop shaking and my breathing was fast. It was another nightmare. I looked around and realized I was still in Jacob's room. His bedside table clock read 12:48 am.

Jacob started stirring next to me. "Lisa what are you doing?" he asked. He was trying to wipe the sleep out of his eyes. I still couldn't get myself to control my breathing and started crying at my helplessness.

"Lisa?" Jacob said. He was more alert now and sat up. "Lisa what's wrong?" he said. He turned on his bedside table lamp and looked at me. I couldn't get myself to speak and each breath was getting more labored.

I could see the worry in his eyes rising like an active volcano. I put my hand on my chest as I was starting to feel light headed and dizzy because of the shortness of breath. Jacob reacted immediately and ran to my room for what I am guessing is my inhaler.

This nightmare was just like the others, except it wasn't Mom who was abusing us it was Dad. My breathing was more like wheezing now and I swear I almost passed out. Jacob ran in the room this time with Jason in tow.

Oh yay, more people for the show. "What the hell happened?" Jason asked taking the inhaler from Jacob and coming over to me. "I think it was another nightmare, she woke up like this" (hehehe).

"Okay, Lisa calm down okay, you have to take this," Jason said giving me the inhaler. He gave it to me and I took a couple hits with it. After a couple of minutes, my breathing was a little better than before.

At this point, I was still crying over the terrible dream I just had. Jason engulfed me in a hug and I could basically hear the relief from them both. I felt terrible that I woke them up so early. "I'm sorry" I croaked out.

"Sweetie you don't have to be sorry, you did nothing wrong," he said. I would protest with him, but I didn't have enough energy to do so. I was dozing off but refuse to go back to sleep in fear that I would have that dream again.

Jacob must have noticed my sleeplessness. "It's okay Lisa you can go back to sleep," he said. I shook my head. I could not go back to sleep. "I can't, I can't go back to sleep," I said almost on the verge of another attack.

"Hey, hey, hey it's okay, it's okay," Jacob said. "Uum, Jacob you can go back to sleep I'll take her to my room," Jason said. "Are you sure?" Jacob asked. "Yeah, get some rest he said. "Okay," Jacob said. He came over to me and kissed my forehead."I Love you" he said

Jason took me into his room and set me on his bed. He came in next to me and covered us both. There was a brief moment of silence. "Do you want to talk about it?" he asked. Did I want to talk about it? I wasn't sure, but I knew he really wanted to know.

"It was about Dad," I said I felt him tense up a bit. "Instead of mom abusing us it was Dad," I said. "It felt so real, and I was so scared" I cried out. It was all coming back to me again like a truck.

"Hey it's okay don't get yourself worked up about it again. Remember what I said as long as I am around nothing like that is going to happen, okay?" he said. I wanted to believe him, but I know he can't always protect me from everything, but I know he is trying his best to protect all of us.

"Lisa, I need you to believe me," he said. "I believe you," I said cuddling up to him more. He is always so warm. "Okay, good now get some rest" he kissed my forehead and made himself comfortable. I was still hesitant about sleeping, but I was way too tired not to.

I went to sleep for the second time and hoped I wouldn't wake up till 9.

~Overprotective~

The smell of bacon and eggs is what woke me up. It was a heavenly smell. I rolled around in the bed and realized that Jason was gone. Well duh who else would be making breakfast.

I got up and went to the bathroom that was connected to Jason's room. I nearly ran away when I looked at myself in the mirror.

With the bags under these eyes, I could pack groceries for the next month. My face was on the pale side and to say the least I looked like I hadn't seen a ray of sunshine in my life. The nightmares were definitely taking a toll on me.

I went down the hall to my room and picked out some clothes for the day. I think I am going to dress lazily today. I grabbed sweatpants and sweatshirt because it was really cold. Hopefully, we don't do anything today cause I just want to sleep.

I did my usual morning routine and went downstairs to where the beautiful aroma of bacon and eggs greeted me. The table was already set, and Dylan and Justin were already eating. "Sorry sis I would have waited on you, but I was starving," Justin said in between bites of food.

"Hmm this food is so good," Dylan said still eating. I made a disgusted face at them and sat at my usual spot. "Where are Jason and Jacob," I asked adding some food to my plate. "They were talking about something in his office," Dylan said.

It didn't take a rocket scientist to know what they were talking about, and I felt a little bad that they had to put up with all of this.

I nodded at Dylan's response and started to eat some food. Dylan and Justin were long done by the time I got halfway. I really just wanted to go back to sleep. Justin went outside for whatever reason.

Dylan sat next to me and stole a piece of bacon from my plate. "You know whoever came up with the concept of bacon is a pure genius," Dylan said licking all of his fingers. "Could you not do that?" I said with a disgusted face.

"What, it's good," he said. I pushed my plate towards him and rest my head on the counter. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked rubbing my back. "You don't look so well," he stated the obvious.

I contemplated telling him part of the reason I was like this, but then I remembered that I made him a promise and should go through with it. I sighed a long sigh. I was about to tell him when Jason and Jacob walked into the kitchen.

"Where is Justin?" Jacob asked grabbing a plate. I guess he and Jason didn't eat yet. "I don't know I think he went outside," Dylan said. "Hey guys Lisa doesn't look so good," he said drawing their attention.

Jason came over to me and felt my forehead. I swatted his hand away. "I'm fine guys, don't worry about me," I said coughing about 5 million times right after. Wow, I really proved my point just then.

"Your obviously not fine," Dylan said putting emphasis on fine. I attempted to roll my eyes but probably ended up looking like a dying fish. "Case in point," he said smugly. "Yeah you really don't look good," Jacob said stuffing some eggs in his mouth.

Meanwhile, Jason was doing a full examination. "Jason seriously, it's probably just some common cold, that's all," I said, but I knew I wasn't fooling anyone. Especially Jacob and Jason. Jason gave me a look.

"Fine" I sighed out. Seconds after Justin came running inside the house. "Guys you wouldn't believe what I just found on our front porch," he said panting. "What is it?" Jason asked.

Justin held up a finger while he caught his breath. "Well, I saw this envelope on the front porch and naturally I had to open it, and when I did look what I found," he said taking out a heap of money from it.

My jaw just about dropped under the ground. It was a huge stack of only $100 bills. "Holy f@#k," Dylan said followed by a smack. "Jacob just about choked on his food, and I'm pretty sure Jason forgot he was giving me a checkup.

Jason took the money from Justin and examined it. "Isn't that cool? We can buy anything we want now," Justin said jumping around. "Calm down," I said. We were all staring at Jason who for the least bit did not look amused at all.

All of a sudden he stuffed the money back into the envelope and grabbed his coat. "Where are you going?" Jacob asked. "I'll be right back" was Jason's reply. "Give Lisa some medicine," he said, and he was out.

"That was weird," Dylan said breaking the silence. "Yeah," we all said. Followed by a cough from me.

~Overprotective~

"This stuff tastes horrible though, why do I have to take it" I whined. "You know why you have to take it, Lisa, now let's just make this easy on the both of us and just take it," Jacob said holding the disgusting liquid in my face.

If I absolutely had to I guess I will take it. "Fine" I opened my mouth and took the disgusting liquid. "Open" I opened my mouth to show him that I had taken it all. "Good girl," he said patting my head and smiling.

'

I glared at him. After a few seconds of me trying to rid my mouth of the horrible taste which I failed at I decided to ask Jacob why Jason was so upset when he saw the money in the envelope.

"Uum Jacob?" I asked just as he was about to leave. He turned around. "Yes?" he said looking at me. I wasn't sure I wanted to ask him anymore. "Well, I'm waiting," he said with his hands on his hips.

"Do you know why Jason was so angry when he found out about the money in the envelope?" I asked timidly. He sighed and closed the door behind him. "I don't know why he was angry, but what I do know is that whatever he does, it will most likely be for good reason," he said.

What does that mean?

"So don't worry about it, okay?" he said. No surprise there. He kissed my forehead then left. That seems to be the most used line in this house besides 'yay food'. I walked into Justin's room and plopped onto his bed.

He was as predicted playing a video game. His new haircut was actually nice. I guess I was too sick this morning to notice it. "What are you doing in here?" he asked swearing at the TV because he just died.

I raised an eyebrow at him through his mirror. "Don't tell anyone," he said. I only laughed. Justin always swore in private, but whenever the others were around he would act like an angel. They don't even know he swears.

"Ugggg I am so bored" I yelled out into his pillow. "He turned his game off and looked over at me. Guess he got tired of losing. Then suddenly his face lit up. "I have an idea," he said. He had that look that suggests that he was up to no good.

"Okay," I said slowly. I am very unsure if I should agree to whatever is about to come out his mouth next. "What did you have in mind?" I asked.

"He looked outside his bedroom window where I met his line of vision. He was looking over at the Huntington's house. I immediately shook my head.

"Are you crazy we can't do that" I said. To brief up a little. The Huntington's were basically the neighborhood killers. Not really, but they were viewed that way. The head of the house Mr. Huntington brought 5 wives in the year alone, and none of them ever came back out. Some say he is into human trafficking others say he is a murderer.

He lives with his 2 sons. Eddie Huntington and Leo Huntington. Although the stories may just be a myth, that doesn't stop us neighborhood kids from fearing them. "Oh what, are you gonna be a chicken about it," he said with a smug look on his face.

"Yes, yes I am, because I would rather be a chicken about it, then end up dead," I said. Okay, I might be over exaggerating just a little. "Come on your exaggerating, don't you wanna see if any of the rumors are true?" he asked.

I looked at him for a long moment. He is right, I did want to know whether the rumors were true or not, but how badly did I want to know is the real question.

"Okay okay fine, but Jacob and Dylan would never let us go," I said. "Which is why they don't have to find out, we are gonna be in and out of there in minutes," he said.

My god, right now he was like the Devil, where is my angel when I need him. "Okay fine, but if we get into trouble I am telling them that it was all your idea," I said. I wanted to be sure who would get into trouble here if that were to happen.

"Okay, great let's go," he said. We went downstairs me coughing along the way. I'm starting to think this wasn't a really good idea after all, but.....oh well. "Oh wait," I said. I almost forgot my inhaler. I ran to my room grabbed it and ran back to Justin.

"Ok are you ready now," he said impatiently. "Yeah" NO. We went outside and down two houses where we stood in front of the Huntington's house. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" I asked looking at the huge 3 story house.

"Come on stop being a chicken," he said and continued. The outside of the place was actually very nice, He had a really nice lawn, a fountain in the middle, definitely a house that stands out in this neighborhood.

There was a pathway that led to the front door. I held onto the end of Justin's t-shirt just in case we had to dip. "Rock, paper, scissors for who has to knock on the door," Justin said turning to me.

"What, this was your idea, so you should knock," I said. "Fine," he said. Wow, that was easy. "But you have to look through the window," he said and went closer to the front door before I could protest.

Of course, nothing is ever that easy with Justin. Justin slowly went up to the door, and shakily might I add Knocked on the door. He quickly ran back towards me. "What was that!" I laughed out.

"What do you mean?" he asked staring at the door. I looked at him for a  minute. "You're totally scared," I said. "No I am not, your the one that's scared not me," he said defensively. "Whatever you say" I sung out.

Just then we heard a crash from inside the house. Justin and I both jumped. "What was that," I asked. "Heck if I know" Justin replied back. "Do you think they know we are here?" I asked. "I don't know," he said.

I was getting a little uneasy being here, Jacob and Dylan wouldn't be able to hear us scream if something were to happen, then I would die next to Justin. That would be a horrible death.

"Maybe we should leave," I said tugging on his shirt. "Just hold on a second," he said holding his pointer finger up. "Jacob and Dylan are going to be worried about us," I said. "I see something," he said totally dismissing my statement.

"I think it's Mr. Huntington," he said. I followed his finger and spotted a really tall man walking across the window. When I say tall, I mean tall. "We should get a closer look," Justin said. "Are you dumb your like those people in the horror movies that want to inspect everything" I said.

"Then what do you suggest we do?" he asked turning towards me. "LEAVE" I whisper-shouted. I immediately ducked down covering my mouth. Justin's eyes went wide. "What's the matter with you?" he whispered.

Mr. Huntington stopped and turned his head towards our direction. I was 87% positive he couldn't see us. "Stay quiet" Justin said covering my mouth. There was a pickup in the breeze and some dust blew in my face making me cough.

Oops. "Hey, who's out there?" Mr. Huntington asked. He came outside and was only feet away from us. "Do you think we can make it if we run?" I asked quietly. Turns out me dying next to Justin may come true after all. "Can you?" he asked looking at me.

Was he implying that I am not a fast runner? "Yes I can run very fast, as a matter of fact, I am probably a faster runner than-" I was cut off by two large boots stopping directly in front of us. Justin and I both screamed I am sure the entire neighborhood heard us.

"RUN" Justin shouted out and grabbed my hand. We both ran like we were in a marathon and booked it past the two houses and into ours. We didn't stop until we were in the living room. I was completely out of breath and grabbed my inhaler out of my pocket and took a couple hits with it.

"You alright?" Justin asked. I nodded. That was close. I took another minute to catch my breath. I looked around the house and realized it was very quiet. "Where did Jacob and Dylan go?" I asked

Justin noticed and went upstairs. I looked in the living room and the kitchen, but they were nowhere in sight. I plopped on the couch and waited. For what you may ask, I don't know. "Oh well, I don't see them, we could probably watch something until they come back," he said plopping down next to me.

I switched the TV on and settled on some random show. It was only 11:00 am, but Jason was still gone. The front door opened and we heard Dylan and Jacob walk in. "I'm sure they are nearby, Jacob there probably fine," Dylan said.

Uh-oh, that sounds like trouble. I looked at Justin who was wide-eyed. "I told you we shouldn't have sneaked off," I whispered to him. "We need to hide" he whispered back at me. That's going to make it worse" I said

We could pretend to be asleep. "Follow me," I said. Dylan had gone to his room and Jacob was in the kitchen. I felt kinda bad. He seemed more stressed lately. We were almost to the stairs when I coughed out.

Justin and I both froze. "Lisa?", "Justin?" he said. "Your plan worked great," Justin said. I rolled my eyes which I am sure he couldn't see.

Jacob walked around to the stairs and saw us standing...awkwardly. "It was Justin's fault," I said right away. I sounded like a snitch, but I made sure it was clear who would be at fault if we got into trouble soo......

I heard him sigh in relief. "Where were you guys?" he asked. I wasn't sure if he was angry or not. "Uuum we were sleeping upstairs?" Justin said. It honestly sounded more like a question.

Jacob gave him a 'really' look. I am not good under pressure. I could crack at any time, I'm sure Jacob knew that because he started looking at me. I am not at all a good liar at all. I was basically sweating at this point.

"Uum, we were outside," I said. I was squirming around, and looking everywhere else but him. "Lisa, please don't lie to me," he said. He didn't really seem angry, just worried. We weren't allowed over to the Huntington's house, which is why, if I didn't lie we would be in huge trouble.

"It's true," I said. This time I looked him in the eye, but only for about 5 seconds, any longer and I would have been done. After about another couple seconds, he nodded. "Okay," he said. I almost started jumping around.

I just lied for the first time. The fact that I am so happy about that, is kind of depressing, and I do feel a little bad for lying to Jacob. "Okay, just please tell one of us next time, okay?" he asked. "Yep," we both said.

Justin and I went upstairs to his room. "Oh my goodness that was so close," Justin said. "I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered for you anyway, you always get into trouble, but me, on the other hand, I never get into trouble," I said.

What if he found out I was lying, then I get into even bigger trouble. "Anyway, I am going to continue playing my game now you can leave," he said turning his console on. "Oh gee thanks," I said exiting his room.

I didn't want to be around him anymore anyway, he was turning me into a rebel. I don't like rebels. I went downstairs towards the kitchen my stomach was growling, it could possibly be because of the fact that I didn't really eat anything earlier.

I could make something that didn't require a microwave or a stove, but that would be a little difficult because I am too short to reach anything. I'm craving a sandwich right now, so that's what I'll make.

"Dylan" I shouted. Hey, I didn't say I was going to make it myself. "What?" was his reply. He didn't even come down here. I went up the stairs towards his room and peeked in. His room was surprisingly clean.

"Can you help me make a sandwich?" I asked. He looked up at me from his desk. "You need help making a sandwich?" he said laughing. "No, I just need help getting the ingredients, they are all too high for me," I said.

"Fine I will be down in a minute," he said. I left his room and waited in the kitchen for him to arrive. I heard a sound by the front door, like keys. Maybe Jason got back.  Sure enough, he walked through the front door and hung his coat on the coat rack.

"Hey Jason," I said waving towards him. "Hey sweetie" He smiled and came over to me kissing my forehead. "You seem to be in a better mood than earlier" I commented. "Yeah, yeah I just needed to deal with something, that's all," he said going in the fridge for a drink.

Yeah right. I know it had something to do with the envelope, that much was obvious, but what I didn't know was why. Dylan came downstairs in nothing but his sweatpants. "Eww, Dylan where are your clothes," I said in disgust.

"Lisa, I'm like this half the time," he said laughing. "Yeah, I know, but still," I said. He was right most of my brothers are always walking around the place without a shirt on. Except for Jason, because he is the only one that values my feminine presence.

"Jason didn't know you were back," Dylan said grabbing the condiments for my sandwich. "Yeah, just got in, hey is Jacob upstairs?" he asked. "Yeah, in Justin's room," Dylan said. "Okay," Jason said about to head up the stairs. "Hey," Dylan said stopping Jason.

Jason looked at him. "You all right man?" he asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." Jason said continuing up the stairs.

Dylan continued making my sandwich and gave it to me. "Do you think he is alright?" I asked. He has been seeming a little off lately. "I'm sure he is fine, he just has a lot on his mind" Dylan replied back leaning on the countertop.

"So?" he said. He was watching me eat my sandwich. "Are you hungry or....?" I said seeing as though he was watching me eat. Who even does that? "No sorry I was spacing out," he said. "You feeling better?" he asked

"Yeah, I just have a small cough here and there, but I think the medicine really helped," I said. "Okay good," he said. I should probably tell him what I was going to tell him earlier, but I am a little hesitant to. I don't want him to be worried about me too. On the other hand, I did promise I would tell him if I had another nightmare.

He was about to leave, but I stopped him. "Dylan," I said. Oh boy, I was already regretting this. "Yes?" he asked. "Uuum.." I was procrastinating and I think he could tell" "what's wrong?" he asked.

"Well, last night and part of the reason I was sick, is because, um," I said. Dylan came around and sat next to me. "Lisa, if there is something you want to tell me, you can," he said slinging an arm around me. "I had another nightmare last night, this one was different though, it felt so real and" I was already getting worked up just thinking about it.

"Calm down, calm down okay? I am glad you told me" he said. We just sat there for a moment in a comfortable silence. "What was it about?" he asked. I feel like I am in a never-ending loop with this nightmare.

"The roles were reversed, Mom wasn't abusing us it was dad, it felt so different and it was scarier and felt so real," I said. "They're so real sometimes I can't distinguish if it was a nightmare or a reality."

"I really wish I could take this all away from you," he said. "I know," I said back. I knew they all wanted to do that, but it just wasn't possible. "But can we please stop talking about this, I am getting bored of the same topic all of the time," I said looking at Dylan.

"Okay, I agree it can be quite depressing," he said. "Hey!" I smacked his arm. He laughed. "I am just kidding, but I am really happy that you came to me despite not really wanting to," he said.

I smiled back at him.

~Overprotective~

"It's not my fault you don't know how to cover people when they ask for it" Dylan shouted at Justin. "Hey I tried you're the one that wanted to go out there blind," Justin retaliated back. UUgh this has been going on for at least 20 minutes.

I was currently cuddling with Jason watching a show, then those two start bickering about their stupid game. I can't even hear the show.

"Well maybe if you were better at the game I wouldn't need to cover you" Justin shouted at Dylan. This is all seriously happening over a game. A GAME. I buried my head in Jason's shoulder and groaned out. "Jason can you tell them to shut up, I can't hear the show," I said.

Jason rubbed his face with his hands and got up. I stretched out on the couch and paused the show. "Okay be right back, don't continue without me," he said and went upstairs to silence those old ladies.

I slouched on the chair and realized how sleepy I actually was. It was only the afternoon 1 or 2 but I was tired. I didn't want to go back to sleep in case I had another nightmare, so I stayed up to continue watching the show with Jason.

He came back downstairs and It was as quiet as a mouse up there. Jason came back and I snuggled back up to him. "What did you say to them?" I asked. "Oh, just a little bribery," He said smirking a little.

I turned our show back on and we continued watching it. Every once in a while I felt myself dipping in and out of sleep. Jason was rubbing circles on my back, which wasn't helping the fact that I wanted to stay awake.

"No Jason I don't want to sleep," I said as I realized what he was trying to do. "It's okay sweetie, your completely safe here, there is no one here to hurt you, you can go to sleep I'm right here," he said. His assurance was all I needed to let the sleep take me in.

Well, there is another long-awaited chapter, don't worry I am working on the other chapter right after this one, so another update will not take long. I have some great ideas for this story and you are welcomed to leave me some of yours if you wish, but until then.
