Recap-Justin and Lisa make a plan to find out what the sitter is hiding in her little plastic bag. They find out then go to put it back, but don't make it in time.
Uh-Oh, we have been caught for sure. We are gonna be in so much trouble. I already know it. "Are you going to answer me or not?" The sitter asked.
She looked quite mad actually. Her hands were on her hips and she gave us a stern look. Wow, when we first met her she looked like the type of person who runs around in Lily fields.
I looked at Justin unsure of what to say. "Well um, we were just walking by?" I said more like a question. Justin looked at me as if I told him I wanted a pet reindeer.
As if he would have done better. "Okay, since none of you want to answer me, you are gonna have to get punished," she said.
My eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Did she just say what I think she said? Okay, this is totally not the same woman who walked in that door an hour ago.
"WHAT...do you mean by punishment?" I asked I had to calm myself down for a second. "In my family, if you do something like that you get punished," she said.
Excuse me. We are not your family. "We are not your family," Justin said exactly what I was thinking. "You can't do that, you'll be fired," I said.
Who does this woman think she is? As if I am gonna let her touch me. "I am sure Mr. Jason will be fine with me teaching your kids a lesson about looking into other people things." She said looking right into my eyes.
This lady has lost the plot. I looked at Justin attempting to figure out what he was thinking. Without another thought, she grabbed both of our hands and started dragging us to wherever she was headed.
"HEY LET US GO" Justin shouted. We both started clawing at her risks to get free, but it was like this woman had no sense of feel. "You are going to get into soo much trouble if you don't let us go right now," I said trying to pry her hands off of my risk.
She stopped abruptly and glared at us. "Stop it right now, or your punishment will be more severe". She said tightening her grip on both our risks.
At this point, I started to get scared. What was this woman going to do to us? She seemed pretty adamant about punishing us.
"You have to let us go, we did nothing wrong," I said. She only ignored me. She kept dragging us down the hallway, down the stairs until we reached the basement. "No what are you doing, don't put us down there," Justin said starting to struggle again.
I just stood there, waiting to see what she was actually gonna do. The basement was the darkest, hottest spot in the house. We didn't have any air conditioning down here or windows. We actually only really use it for storage.
"While you two were doing whatever you were doing I had lots of time to look around the house, and knew this basement would come in handy." She said as she unlocked the door and threw us into the dark, and dusty basement.
I landed on an old cardboard box and was immediately surrounded by dust. "You will stay in here until I think your punishment is right." She said then shut the door. That was followed by a click.
"HEY LET US OUT OF HERE" Justin ran to the door, pounding on it. I just sat in the corner crying. "HEY" Justin continued pounding on the door.
I looked around the basement and it was very cluttered. There was so much dust in the air, boxes, old couches, everything was down here. I don't remember the last time I was down here.
I looked over at Justin who had stopped pounding on the door and was sitting by it instead. "I knew we should not have done that Lisa," Justin said turning towards me.
"We should have stuck to the pranks instead." He said kicking at a box. "Don't you think we would have been in the same situation regardless," I said looking at him. He didn't answer back.
"Don't worry, Jason and Jacob will be home at 5:00 and Dylan at 4:00?" I said trying to be as optimistic as possible.
"Lisa, it is only 10:00, are we gonna be stuck down here till then?" He asked looking at me. I did feel a little guilty, after all, it was my idea. "Do you think there is a phone down here?" I asked
I got up and started looking around the basement for anything that could be used to call Jason. The basement was actually quite big there was a giant rug under the piles of junk that were on it.
Behind the boxes was a tall mirror, that I had never seen before. Actually, now that I think about it there were a lot of things down here that I wasn't familiar with. "There isn't gonna be anything down here Lisa," Justin said staying in the same spot.
"Well, I have to at least try," I said. I still had that small guilt that this all happened, because I wanted to be nosy.
I coughed as a wall of dust came straight into my face. This is too much dust for me to be around. I went back towards Justin and sat next to him. "I am sorry Justin, this is all my fault," I said as tears started to stream down my face.
Justin looked at me and contemplated for a bit before he started rubbing my back. "Its partly my fault too," he said. He was only trying to make feel better, but I went along with it anyway.
I started coughing again, again, and again. Justin looked at me with a bit of concern in his eyes. "Are you okay?" He asked as I kept coughing. I tried to answer, but couldn't find enough air in my body to speak. I started wheezing, and coughing at the same time, making it difficult to breathe.
"OH MY GOD, are you having an asthma attack?" Justin said putting his hands on his head. If I could answer him with a sarcastic remark right now I would. What does it look like? I opted to nod my head instead.
I continued to wheeze, as my chest tightened, restricting with every breath. Justin came down to my level and held my shoulders up. I continued to cough and wheeze, each breath painstakingly slow.
Justin got up and ran to the door. He started banging on it. "LET US OUT OF HERE, HELP" Justin pounded on the door. Why can't anything ever go right? Just this morning I was laying in my bed, nice and peaceful.
I just really want my inhaler and some food. I lay down to help my breathing a bit, although I don't think it really helped. Justin kept banging on the door like he was in a heavy metal band.
Maybe this wouldn't have happened if we had just listened to Jason. Why don't we ever listen to Jason? I was starting to take longer breathes, which really hurt, and the blanket of dust around me really didn't help the situation at all.
"Uum, what do I do? What do I do?" Justin yelled out as he paced the room. I don't even know what to do. We are stuck in a basement with plenty of dust, near a severe asthmatic, who doesn't have her inhaler, with no one else home except for some crazy lady who was supposed to be our sitter. Just peachy.
I was starting to see black dots around and, with how hard I was breathing, I could probably break my own ribs.
"No, no, no. no, Lisa, I don't know what to do, you have to stay awake, come on". Justin picked me up and carried me by the door. "Do you have like a spare inhaler on you?" He asked.
If I did doesn't he think I would have used it by now? I shook my head no. We heard footsteps, the lock turning and, the door opening. I prayed it was one of our brothers, but to my dismay, it wasn't.
The sitter walked in and a look of sympathy flashed over her face, but just as quick as it came it left and was replaced with a stone cold grimace.
"Please let us out my sister needs her inhaler, please," Justin said holding me up. The sitter looked at me and said the words I was praying she would say. "You can go the boy stays," she said.
Except for the last part. This big toe is really pushing my buttons.
What is this a dictatorship? "But she needs my help, she is too weak to move" Justin explained. You know I didn't see Justin as the helpful type, but today he has proved me wrong.
"Fine" wait till I can breathe properly I am going to give her a piece of my mind. Justin quickly got up supporting me. I was still struggling to breathe properly and was very shocked that I hadn't passed out yet.
"Come on Lisa you are almost there," Justin said. I really appreciate him trying to be so helpful, especially when he has never had to deal with this before. It is mostly Jason or Jacob who deals with these situations.
We went up the stairs, Justin having to stop once in a while to adjust my arm on his shoulder. My chest was hurting more and more, it felt like someone parked a truck on it, making it very difficult to breathe. "J- J-Ju," I tried to tell him to go faster, but I could barely talk.
"Don't worry Lisa I got you just keep holding on, okay?" He said as he held me tighter and moved faster. Oh looks like he got the message anyway. We finally arrived at my room, the place I should have never left in the first place today.
Justin rests me on my bed and started searching around. "Where is your inhaler?" he asked. I was slowly starting to slip out of consciousness and almost fell off the bed. "LISA, stay awake" Justin sounded on the verge of tears, but I knew he was trying to stay strong for me.
He finally found it in the most obvious place, which was my desk drawer. He grabbed it so fast, it looked like he pulled a magic trick.
He brought it over to me and I gratefully took it, just as I was about to slip into unconsciousness. I shook it a couple times and used it, I did that a couple more times until I started to breathe a little better. At the same time, Justin had picked up my phone and called someone.
"Jason, come home quick....it's the sitter she locked us in the basement......I don't know......no we got out Lisa was having a really bad asthma attack, and we couldn't get to her inhaler........yes shes fine....yes she is still in the house.....yes.....ok.......just hurry."
I didn't even realize the tears running down my face until Justin wiped them with his hands. I was surprised when I got a hug from Justin, in which I returned it. I could fall asleep right now just like this. That attack really tired me out. "Promise me you will never put me in that situation ever again?" he said rubbing my back.
"You scared the hell out of me" If I didn't just have an attack, I would have called him out for swearing, but, I guess he has earned himself a free pass.
The sitter walked into the room. Wow, she didn't even knock. Justin tightened his grip on me. "You kids better not tell about what happened today," She said closing the door behind her. Too late for that.
Okay 1. why did she have to close the door nobody else is here, and 2. she did not just close my door. "Why wouldn't I tell, my sister could have died because of you''Justin said
I got up from laying on Justin's shoulder. Justin looked at me, and I just nodded. I was still a little shaken and exhausted from what happened earlier.
"If you think we are keeping this a little secret you got another thing coming," I said looking at her with disgust.
She seemed taken back by what I had just said, and took three daring steps towards us. What does she think she doing? Justin stood up in front of me. He was actually almost as tall as she was, maybe even a little taller.
"Get out," Justin said. I have never, ever heard Justin so angry in my entire life. I looked at him, then at the witch, and they were basically having a stare off. When the sitter did not move Justin moved closer to her. They were merely inches apart.
"I said G E T O U T" Justin's voice just then even scared me. I didn't even know he was capable of that. This made the sitter back up, and let me tell you that smug look on her face, transferred from her face to my face.
"Fine, but just know I will be back, and you won't even know it." She said with a smug smirk on her face and with that she left.
Justin went down the stairs to make sure that she was gone. Where did this newfound confidence come from? He seems so brave now, compared to half an hour ago. I looked over at my clock and it read 2:00 PM wow how long have we been in the basement for.
I was still really exhausted from the attack, and the lack of sleep I got earlier. I am pretty sure the caffeine I had earlier was wearing off. I lay down on my bed, closed my eyes and decided to get some sleep.
~Overprotective~
I heard my door creak open, then close. The spot next to me dipped and I flipped over on my bed to face the person. Even though it was dark I could still make out exactly who it was. It was Dylan.
"I'm glad you are okay," he said. I just hugged him closer to let him know that it was okay. You can't always be with you siblings every waking second of the day, and it's not very common for your babysitter to turn out to be some physco. And with that, I went back to sleep.
I woke up to the shining sun through my window, and to add to the blissful auroras surrounding me, I didn't have any nightmares last night. I got out of bed actually feeling quite great, except for the slight pain in my chest from my attack I was doing pretty good.
My clock read 9:00 AM which, for me was a great time to wake up. I picked out my clothes for the day, which consisted of some shorts and a shirt. It looked quite hot out today.
I went to the restroom which was down the hall, from my bedroom. The pictures lining the walls, leading to the bathroom was actually quite relaxing to add to my already great morning.
I did my business, got changed, and went downstairs. Only Jason was in the kitchen, everyone else must have still been asleep. I went up behind him since I haven't seen him since about 1 day ago.
He was a little startled, but turned around and returned the hug. I was about to pull away, but he hugged me tighter. "A little tight there buddy," I said, but he still didn't loosen the hug.
"I just want you to know I love you, okay sweetie," he said looking at me. "Of course I know that," I said back.
I broke from the hug, and I just knew by the look on his face what he was about to say. "It's not your fault Jason, you didn't know she would do that," I said looking him directly in his eyes. "I know, it's just you and Justin were here all by yourself whiles that lady was doing whatever she was doing, you could have died," He said, balling his fist a little. If I didn't stop him he might just punch the coffee machine.
"Its okay, I am here now aren't I?" I didn't want him feeling all guilty and stuff because of what that psychotic brat did. "Yh, I know" He gave me another long tight hug. "I'm gonna go and talk to Justin I am sure this was just as scary for him, as it was for you." He said kissing my head and leaving the kitchen.
He didn't take his coffee, so I might as well take it. "And don't touch my coffee." He said heading up the stairs.
I went towards the cupboards, thinking about what I would eat. I didn't realize until now, but I am actually starving. I haven't had anything to eat since yesterday, and for me, that is too long. I decided to grab a bowl for some cereal.
If only I was tall enough to reach the freaking cupboard. All of a sudden someone came up from behind me and grabbed the bowl I was reaching for.
I turned around and was faced by Dylan. "I could have gotten that by myself," I said pouting. I was just about to grab it. "Yeah?, when would that have been, in a couple of years, when you finally hit 3ft," He said laughing at his own 'joke'.
I am not 2ft. "I will have you know that I am 5'2". I said that like I just came back from a trip to the moon. This only made Dylan laugh harder. "Sweetie, I am 6'1," he said. He just had to rub that in my face. It's not like I wanted to be short. I had no choice.
"Can I have the bowl now please, I am starving?" I said reaching up trying to grab the bowl, from this tall tree. His face suddenly turned to one of concern. "When was the last time you ate?" He asked looking down at me.
"Like the day before yesterday?" I said more like a question. "Cereal isn't gonna full you, your gonna need a big breakfast." He said putting the bowl back in the cupboard. My mouth fell open. "But, that's gonna take forever, I am hungry now!" I said adding an emphasis on now.
"You will thank me later," He said getting things out to make breakfast. "Fine," I said as I sat down on the stool and watched. Dylan was actually a pretty good cook. He and Jason were the only ones who could cook a good meal, without burning down the house.
Jacob is an entirely different story. Speaking of where is Jacob. The kitchen clock read 10:30. "Where is Jacob?" I asked. I know Jason went upstairs to talk to Justin about yesterday.
"He is still sleeping, he worked an extra shift for Jason when he came home early," he said. I wanted to ask him about the sitter, but at the same time, just wanted to forget about it.
I know they feel bad enough. "How are you feeling?" he asked as he flipped a pancake, then faced me. It took me a while to realize what he was talking about. "Oh, besides the slight pain in my chest, fine," I said twirling a hair around my finger.
I could tell the look that Dylan was about to have on his face. It was the same look Jason had. Not again. "Just make the pancakes," I said exasperatedly. "Alright, Alright," he said and went back towards making the pancakes.
Justin and Jason came down the stairs. "Man, I knew I smelled food, I am starving," Justin said rubbing his stomach. He went over to where Dylan was and tried to grab a pancake. "Get out of here squirt," Dylan said giving him a noogie.
"Hey, get your hands off of me," Justin said trying to pry Dylan's hands off. I was suddenly lifted from my spot and placed on someone's lap. I turned around to see that it was Jason so I basked in the warmth that he radiated.
Why is everyone else always so warm? "Why do you keep taking it from me?" Justin shouted. "Because the food isn't done yet," Dylan replied back. "Now shoo fly, shoo," Dylan said waving Justin away.
"Is the food almost done yet, I am starving?" I said. I don't know why I couldn't have gotten cereal, and this breakfast. I would have been done with my food by now. "Patience is key, young grasshopper," Jason said kissing my head.
I only rolled my eyes. After a couple minutes of Justin and I watch to see when the food would be done, and Jason combing through my hair. The food was finally done.
Finally, Finally, Finally. I can't stress enough how hungry I am right now. I got off of Jason's lap and started to make my plate.
Dylan actually only made pancake and nothing else, but I am ok with that because he made lots of it. I got about 4 and sat next to Jason. Compared to everyone else. I looked like I only got one.
"Are we gonna do anything today?" Justin asked shoving an entire pancake into his mouth. How is that even possible? "I am not sure, I think we are just gonna stay in today," he said sipping some of his coffee.
"You guys aren't going to work today?" I asked. It didn't take a genius to know why they weren't going. I would honestly be surprised if they were going.
"Of course not, I just have to make some business calls, and call it a day." He said biting into a pancake. "Ok well, I for one am bored and do not feel like having a babysitter," Justin said.
Wow, this kid really has bad timing on just about everything. I leaned over to Justin and whispered, "Too soon bro". I could tell our other brothers, didn't appreciate the comment too much.
"Anyway, we should probably stay in any way, I just want to relax," I said finishing my last pancake. Wow, who knew four pancakes was all you needed to be stuffed. " I got up from my seat and placed my dish in the dishwasher.
"Um actually Justin and Lisa can you two stay behind," Jason said looking at me, just as I was about to leave. "Ok," I said slowly and went back towards my seat. It's not like I have no clue in the world what we were going to talk about. Note the sarcasm.
Dylan and Jacob went outside to work on something. I could basically taste the awkwardness in the air. Well except Jason. He seemed determined to get some point across. Justin came and sat next to me.
This reminds me of some therapeutic session you would have with someone. Justin cleared his throat, to indicate that we should get started. "Ok, I know you guys don't want to talk about this, but we have to," Jason said looking at each of us.
He got that right. I would rather do anything else, but talk about what happened yesterday. "First off, you guys should not have had to go through that, you should have been safe at home", "But unfortunately things didn't go as planned." He said
"Justin you did the right thing by calling me" Hold on I really want to know what happened to the babysitter. "Wait, I have a question? where did the sitter go?" I asked looking at Justin. I knew he was the last one to see her.
"She's gone, but she left some of her things, I guess in a rush to get out," Jason said, "But, don't worry about her I dropped them off to the station." "Ok". "Another thing, Lisa I need you to have your inhaler on you at all times, ok?" Jason said.
"Ok," I said. Although it would be a little hard to remember to bring my inhaler all the time.
"I just want you guys to know that if something like that happens again, which I will make sure it doesn't, you know what to do," Jason said looking at us both.
We both nodded, waiting for this conversation to be over with already. "Both of you guys mean the world to me, okay?" he said. "Oh come one, please don't do all that lovey-dovey stuff," Justin said slouching in his seat.
I laughed as Jason gave Justin a noogie and kissed him on his forehead. "Eew that's disgusting," he said wiping his forehead. "Love you too bro," Jason said.

This is way more than what I would usually write like 3000 words more than what I usually write, but it is all for the long wait, and you guys being extremely patient with me. I am flying with loads of ideas, so don't go anywhere and enjoy the story.
