~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since that day he met LiYun, AiLin had been wandering around the forest lost in his own thoughts. He always found himself at the top of the waterfall looking down. One day he noticed that LiYun was walking around. He looked to be looking for something again. Was it the Cave? Secretly AiLin followed him making sure this time not to be caught. Just what was he looking for?
Finally, LiYun stopped in the spot where he caught AiLin. He watched to see what he would do. LiYun suddenly called out to him. What in the world was he doing? Why was he calling out for him? AiLin didn't answer nor show himself. He stayed hidden in the shadows.
After that, AiLin kept watching LiYun for two years from the trees and the shadows. He never once let him know he was watching. Why would he? The last day LiYun came, AiLin heard what he said about not coming anymore. Why did this hurt him so much? The moment LiYun left, AiLin rushed down to grab the note. Was this the last time he would see him?
AiLin opened the note only to see just a few words on the paper: ''The White Dragon in Ciqikou''
That was it. He had never left the forest, so how would he know where Ciqikou was? AiLin sighed and put the note inside his sleeve then picked up the basket walking back to the cave. The moment he reached the path that led to the entrance he stopped and looked up at it. All his life, or that he could remember, He had been playing here and walked up this path numbers of times and yet this time seemed different.
Something was pulling him away from the path and the cave. Almost like it wanted him to leave and chase after LiYun. Why was he so drawn to this human? What was it about him that made AiLin run to him? It's not like he was immortal, or was he? In truth AiLin wouldn't know. He had never met another God or anything like him before.
AiLin sat on the small steps of the path and tried to remember what he could, but every time he tried his head would start to hurt. What was going on? Why couldn't he remember anything other than waking up in the forest and the facts about the village? The only other thing he remembered was his name. What had happened to him? Was he being punished for some unknown reason? Many questions ran through his mind.
AiLin chose to give up and turned walking up the path to the cave. Why would it matter anyways? He was happy in the forest by himself. He had no need for anyone, human or God. AiLin stopped half way up and turned around looking behind him. So, why did his mind always lead back to LiYun?
Months had gone by and AiLin still went every day to see if LiYun would show up, yet he never did. AiLin sat at the top as if he was waiting. It finally hit him that LiYun wasn't coming back to the forest. Had he given up looking for the Cave? Was it the fact that he was a male and not female that made him stop? AiLin pulled the note from his sleeve and looked at it again.
He knew what he had to do to see LiYun again. AiLin rushed off to the cave and packed a few things he knew he would need. Since he was able to use his magic to store it away, it made it much easier to do that and go into his fox form in order to run fast through the forest. He ran as fast as he could, leaping through the trees to stay away from the humans that visited the Forest. AiLin was finally able to reach the entrance of the forest. He looked for a spot that he could turn back into his human form.
The moment he stepped out of the woods he noticed something that he never really paid attention to before. The clothes that the humans were wearing were so different from his traditional style clothes. The more he stepped into the human world the more he noticed that more things have changed since he was last there.
''The humans have really changed everything'' he said to himself.
After some time and asking around, AiLin was able to make his way to Ciqikou. At the entrance of the town a little old lady walked up to AiLin and bowed to him then pulled some money out and handed it to him. AiLin looked at her with a confused look. He didn't want to take her money, but she kept on trying to give it to him.
''Dear God, please take this and buy you something to eat'' she said smiling up at him ''This village has many yummy things to eat. For someone that has lived in the forest for hundreds of years and has only eaten rabbits, the food here will be a good change.'' She puts the money in his hand again and starts to walk away only to turn back around ''If you do not find what you are searching for here, then go to Chongqing with a lot of clubs. You may need to buy clothes as well to fit in'' the old lady laughed as she walked away for good.
AiLin was shocked by what the old lady said. How did she know he was a God? How did she know he had lived in the forest and the fact he was looking for something when he never even said a word to her? AiLin wanted to ask her all this, but when he turned to look for the old lady, he had noticed that she was gone. Who was she and why did no one else seem to have seen her as they talked?
AiLin looked down at the money in his hand then placed it inside his sleeve. Shaking off what just happened, AiLin moved forward into the town and started to look for The White Dragon. After asking around and making his way through the streets, he found himself standing in front of The White Dragon Martial Arts School. AiLin tilted his head as he looked at the building that seemed to be closed.
''They aren't here right now, young man'' a voice came from behind him.
He turned to find a middle aged woman ''They'' he said softly.
The woman nodded to the building ''The Masters of this school. The young Master LiYun said he was leaving for Chongqing for a while''
''Chongqing'' that was the place the old lady said to go next ''Do you know how to get there from here'' he asked again.
Once the woman told him how and even wrote it down for him, he asked where he could by some clothes. Leading the way, the woman took him to a clothing store where he found a pair of jeans, a white shirt, and a pair of shoes. After changing and thanking the woman, AiLin left and headed to Chongqing.
AiLin couldn't believe the size of Chongqing. Trying to find anyone in this place was going to be just as hard as finding a needle in bamboo leaves. As he walked around the city, he still felt that people were looking at him. He was dressed in their clothes so why did they still look at him funny? Was it his hair? It was still long and tied back. He just couldn't understand why, then it hit him. It wasn't his clothes, nor his hair. It was his eyes. That's right, he had two different color eyes that really stood out.
AiLin spotted a place that was selling things that were dark and covered the eyes. He bought a pair and put them on. After that the people seemed to stop staring at him. AiLin was glad. The next thing to do now was to find the place with a lot of clubs and find LiYun. He still didn't know what he was going to say to him once he found him. Let alone tell him why he was looking for him.
AiLin asked around for the place with a lot of clubs and one person was able to help him. Night fell sooner than he thought and this place reminds him of brothels. How could he find LiYun in a place like this? He slowly walked around the streets too scared to go in. AiLin sighed softly as he stopped and leaned against a wall of one club. What was he going to do? He thought he should just go back to the forest.
As AiLin was thinking of what to do, a few drunk guys walked over to him.
''Wow, do you see this guy here'' one of the guys said as he placed his hand on the wall next to AiLin's head.
''Look at this slim body and little waist'' the other said reaching out to AiLin's waist.
AiLin jumped and tried to get away from them only to have one of the guys pin him against the wall. AiLin was scared and started to shake. The touch of these humans scared him the most. How could they dare do such things? He wanted to teach them a lesson, but there were too many other humans around.
''HEY!'' a voice from behind the two drunk yelled ''Didn't your mothers ever teach you not to force yourself on someone while drunk.''
''Kong, chill'' another came as well ''Humans don't know any better.''
AiLin looked around one of the drunks to see an orange haired guy and a gray haired guy standing behind the drunks. Kong and Jing? The two guys that were with LiYun. What were they doing here? AiLin had noticed that the two drunks had turned away from him and were focused on Kong and Jing who didn't seem like they were going to back down.
AiLin decided to slowly try and get away, keeping his head down. It was a good thing they showed up when they did, but if they were here does that mean LiYun was too? AiLin stopped and looked back to see if he could see them. With it being night time it was hard to see out of the shades on his face. He slowly took them off so he could see better. As he slowly backed away still looking, he felt something hard against his back.
AiLin spun around and looked up. It was LiYun and he looked mad. As much as the look on his face scared AiLin he didn't feel scared of him. LiYun didn't look at him. His eyes were focused on his friends.
''What are you two doing'' his voice roared.
''These two were picking on that little one in front of you'' Kong said, placing his hands behind his head.
Jing nodded as he held the collar of one guy's shirt ''You know we couldn't just stand by and let them do what they want.''
LiYun huffed loudly as he crossed his arms over his large chest. AiLin couldn't help but stared at him. LiYun's hair was halfway tied up. His eyes, those sweet light blue eyes, is what really drew him in closer. He couldn't help but look at his eyes.
''Li'' AiLin said softly, but then covered his mouth when he noticed he said his name out loud.
LiYun looked down when he heard his name. AiLin looked up at him with shock in his eyes. The moment LiYun looked at him the expression on his face went from hard and mean to soft and shock. LiYun grabbed a hold of AiLin's wrist and pulled him into the light. He looked at his eyes. AiLin swallowed hard. What was going on in LiYun's mind?
''Little fox?'' LiYun said with shock in his voice. He looked him up and down. How was it possible that the little fox he had met in the woods was this short, soft, fragile looking guy that was now standing in front of him?
LiYun reached out laying his hand on AiLin's cheek. This had to be the little fox from the forest. His eyes, he never forgot his eyes for a moment. This was him; he knew it deep down it was.
The moment LiYun's hand touched AiLin's cheek he could tell that he wasn't a human as he thought. This man was a God just like him and not just any God either. LiYun was a dragon.
