Kong headed for Chongqing. He knew right where to look first. There was a bar next to a hotel that they all went to when they would visit Chongqing. That's where he would go first. He just hoped that LiYun was there. He finally reached the bar and went in.
He looked and walked all around the place and didn't see him. Just as he was about to leave he heard LiYun's laugh. Kong turned around to find him sitting in the back with a girl on the left and a cute young guy on the right. Kong shook his head and walked over to him.
''Have you been sitting here playing with humans all this time'' Kong asked.
LiYun looked up and smiled ''HEY! Kong you're just in time to have a drink'' he said.
Kong growled and flipped the table then walked over and grabbed a hold of LiYun's shirt pulling him up ''FUCK YOU'ER DRINK!'' he shouted then started to laugh as he pushed him back to the seat ''You're sitting here playing with humans, while Ai is at home hardly eating, and sleeping. He is threatening to leave and go back to the forest.'' Kong stepped back and looked at LiYun up and down then shook his head ''Maybe he is better off there or maybe I should talk to the Jade Emperor and have him marry Ai off to your brother instead. He may cause trouble and be an ass, but at least he would care for Ai and he would never hurt him or make him cry at home alone.''
Kong turned away and left. When he walked out the bar he pulled his phone out and called up Jing.
''Yeah, I found him. He is drunk and playing with humans. Take Ai back to the forest'' Kong turned and looked back at the bar ''There is no reason for him to be there anymore.''
Kong hung up his phone and caught a cab back to Ciqikou.
LiYun sat there trying to soak up every word Kong just said. The boy next to him wrapped his arms around LiYun's arm.
''Come on sweetie, let's go back to your room and have fun'' the boy said, placing LiYun's hand between his legs.
LiYun looked at the boy and growled pulling away from him ''Go play by yourself, human.'' He got up and headed to the bartender handing him money ''For the mess and any damages.'' He walked out and looked up at the night sky breathing in the fresh air.
LiYun walked around trying to sober up a bit when a young boy bumped into him. When LiYun looked at him he noticed the boy looked like AiLin. The boy said he was sorry and walked on. LiYun shook his head and leaned against a wall. Just then a cab pulled up in front of him and Kong got out holding the door open. LiYun nodded and got in. The both of them headed back home but neither of them said a word.
After Jing hung up the phone he sighed and turned around to find AiLin standing there ''Kong found him?'' he asked.
''Yeah'' Jing said softly.
''He isn't coming back is he?''
''I don't know, Ai.''
AiLin nodded ''I'm going to go get some sleep. Can we leave in the morning?''
Jing nodded back ''Yeah, we can'' he said, a little upset.
AiLin turned and walked back down the hall. He paused at his door for a moment then looked at LiYun's room. If this was to be his last night he wanted it to be where it all started. AiLin walked over to LiYun's door and slowly opened it. At first he stood there taking in the whole room. He walked in and closed the door behind him. He kicked his shoes off and crawled under the covers once again hugging LiYun's pillow. The scent of him was almost gone.
Tears started to form in his eyes as he hid his face in the pillow. What hurt him the most right now wasn't the fact he didn't trust him but that he wasn't here. This was the worst pain he had ever felt. What the people of that village did to him was nothing compared to this. AiLin ended up falling asleep as he cried.
Jing was on the other side of the door worried about him. It broke his heart to see or hear AiLing this way. Jing stayed there to make sure he was ok for the rest of the night. A few hours later Kong walked up the stairs. Jing heard him and ran over to him only to find LiYun walking up the stairs slowly.
''I thought you said....'' Jing asked, looking at Kong.
''I figured I would try one last time. When I went back he was standing outside, so I got out to see if he would come back and he did'' Kong said hugging Jing close ''Hows Ai?''
Jing hugged him back then pulled away looking at LiYun ''He cried himself to sleep again'' he said ''He is hurting bad.'' He looked up at Kong and sighed.
''Where is he'' LiYun asked softly as he reached the top of the stairs.
Jing moved aside and pointed ''Your room.''
LiYun nodded and made his way to his room. When he reached the door he stood there for a moment. He hurt AiLin. What if he doesn't forgive him and still wants to leave? He would understand and let him. LiYun reached for the doorknob slowly and opened the door.
When he walked in he found AiLin sleeping soundly hugging his pillow tightly. He could still see the tears that fell from his eyes on his cheek. LiYun sat at the end of the bed to take his shoes off. The movement of the bed woke AiLin up. He sat up and looked over at him.
''Li'' he asked still sleepy
''Go back to sleep, we can talk in the morning'' he said looking back at him a bit.
AiLin got out of bed and walked over to him. He placed his hands on LiYun's face and made him look up at him. LiYun didn't say or do anything. Seeing LiYun in front of him started to make him tear up again. Seeing this LiYun stood up and started to whip the tears away with his thumbs.
''Hey, don't cry ok. I'm right here and I'm real. You don't have to cry'' he said. Seeing him this way was breaking his heart, yet at the same time he found AiLin's crying face to be cute.
AiLin couldn't help but cry as he fell to his knees. LiYun knelt down and kept wiping the tears away. He didn't know how to make him stop. LiYun sat back on the floor leaning against the bed and placed his hands on his head. AiLin was hurting and crying and he didn't know what to do. If this was one of the Jade Emperor's love tests he talked about then LiYun was failing it.
LiYun looked up at AiLin and held his hand out to him ''Ai, come here please'' he said softly.
AiLin looked up at him but didn't move an inch.
''Ai, come here please'' he said again this time he leaned forward a bit.
AiLin took a hold of his hand. LiYun gripped it tightly and pulled him on top of him. He picked AiLin up and set him on his lap facing him. AiLin sat there looking at him, tears still running down his face. LiYun pulled his head down to him and licked the tears off his cheeks.
''If it makes you feel better then keep crying'' he said looking at him and resting his forehead against AiLin's ''I just hope you will listen to what I have to say and if you want to hit me, hate me, or leave after then you can and I won't blame or stop you. Ok?''
AiLin sat there and looked at him then nodded softly.
LiYun took a deep breath ''First of all, I didn't mean to hide anything from you. I just thought it would be better if you didn't know or if we waited till you got your memories back. I know I should have told you the truth, but you were just learning how to live among the humans and we...'' he stopped and looked down, dropping his hands to his lap. ''And what we have is just getting started as well. I have been looking for you for a long time and even though I don't remember much of you from before you were sent to live in the forest, I just know that we are promised to each other and what I feel for you is real. I didn't want to ruin that, yet I feel like I have. I keep getting mad or upset with you, I have hurt you and made you cry. It's unforgivable, but if you stay and let me I will try my hardest to make everything up to you and I will make sure that I will never hurt you again.''
LiYun reached up and cupped AiLin's face ''If you want to leave me to make me feel what you had been feeling then do it. I won't force you to stay nor will I try and bring you back. Just know if you leave so will the part of me that loves you.''
AiLin looked at him shocked and confused ''What?'' he asked.
LiYun smiled and rubbed his thumbs over his cheek then pulled his face close to his ''That's right little Fox, you have made this stupid Dragon fall in love with you and if you stay then this stupid Dragon will only love you because you have his heart'' he looked into AiLin's eyes.
AiLin looked back at him. He could feel his heart beating fast in his chest. He wrapped his arms around LiYun's neck and leaned in kissing him deeply. LiYun pulled him back to stop him.
''Ai'' he said
''Shut up'' AiLin said ''I don't care about any of that right now. I am mad at you for just leaving and not coming back, but that doesn't matter now either. You're right here with me, that's all I want.'' He laid his hands on LiYun's face and looked at him ''I'm not leaving. You're stuck with me. You will just have to deal with that.''
LiYun smiled and wrapped his arms around his waist holding him close ''Guess I will have to deal with it then'' he chuckled softly and kissed AiLin's cheek.
AiLin smiled back and hugged him tightly. AiLin bit into LiYun's neck hard. LiYun growled and pulled him back.
''What was that for'' he asked confusedly.
''One, I am still mad and two, I'm marking you. If you ever dare go to a bar again and hit on humans then they will see this and they will know you're taken'' he said crossing his arms.
''Is that right'' he said.
LiYun took AiLin's shirt off him and tossed it to the side. He placed his hands on his back and held him close as he bit down on his chest just above his heart. AiLin yelped and blushed at the same time as he held onto LiYun's shoulders. LiYun let go then softly blew over the bite mark. A small red dragon with blue eyes appeared in the middle of the bite mark. LiYun looked up at him and smiled.
''Now, that is a mark to show who you belong to'' he said then kissed the mark which made AiLin shiver.
AiLin looked down at him breathing heavily. When LiYun looked up at him again AiLin grabbed a hold of his face and kissed him hard and deep. He tugged at LiYun's shirt till it came off over his head. LiYun returned his kiss picking him up and moved him to lay on the bed. AiLin wrapped his arms around his neck and held onto him tightly.
LiYun kissed his way from AiLin's lips to his neck and down his chest. AiLin shivered under his touch. LiYun kept his eyes on AiLin's face the whole time. He loved the faces he made. LiYun spent the whole night making every inch of AiLin ache as well as making him his. AiLin fell asleep in LiYun's arms afterwards.
