1322 THE HUYUN CLAN'S PEOPLE ARRIVE
While the orientation for the convicts went on, Lin Mu was meeting up with Elder Niji.
âSeems like weâll be having more people assisting us.â Elder Niji spoke.
âYes, as long as they donât cause trouble.â Lin Mu replied while observing the screen floating above them.
Elder Niji too looked at it and shook his head lightly.
âDonât worry, we can wait for more time. And even if those immortals from the Huyun Clan donât arrive weâll still figure out some other way.â Elder Niji calmly spoke.
He didnât want Lin Mu to worry about the matter all the time and wanted to let time take its course.
âAnd we wonât.â Lin Mu suddenly said while pointing to the screen, âtheyâve been here all along.â
âHuh?â Elder Niji looked at the screen but didnât see anything in the location that Lin Mu was pointing to.
âI... donât see anything.â Elder Niji said in confusion.
âBecause they arenât there, they are using a spying spirit tool to watch the mountain from afar.â Lin Mu spoke.
âA spying spirit tool?â Elder Niji asked.
âWeâll see it once we go out.â Lin Mu said before activating the Transportation formation.
~SHUA~ SHUA~ is the owner.
Both he and Elder Niji were sent out of the mountain and arrived on the side where the end of the Broken Chasm was. This was the area that Lin Mu had climbed out of and where the scouts had found him.
âCome,â Lin Mu said before walking towards to spot in the ground.
~CLANG~
After reaching it, he kicked the air seemingly hitting an invisible object.
âJust as I thought.â Lin Mu muttered.
He narrowed his eyes and looked around. His spirit sense also spread up, trying to see if there was anyone else hiding.
âCome on out, I know you all are here.â Lin Mu said while looking at the object that was lying on the ground.
This object was what Lin Mu had kicked before. It was a one meter tall metal rod that had a flat circle on its top. The circle had the pattern of an eye carved on it and was also the spying spirit tool.
Lin Muâs spirit sense scanned the tool, finding it to be rather interesting. It had a camouflaging formation on it that allowed it to turn invisible.
But to Lin Mu who could use spatial perception, it was useless. He had noticed the âsolidnessâ of space on the screen, where it should have been moving air.
âThis is new... I donât think I would have detected this in the past. At least not on a screen made by another formation.â Lin Mu thought.
He realized his understanding of the Spatial Dao Traces was also increasing which in turn allowed his spatial perception to increase to the next level. He didnât know what the limit of his current spatial perception was but he knew it would be a lot higher.
~SHUA~SHUA~SHUA~
About thirty seconds after Lin Mu called out, three men appeared from the distance. They were flying, which clearly showed that they were immortals. Additionally, they were all wearing similar robes with the crest of the Huyun clan on them.
âSo you three are the ones that have been asked to bring in Huyun Chuan.â Lin Mu plainly stated.
âWe are...â One of the Immortals of the Huyun Clan spoke.
The other two had a hint of confusion on their faces, probably wondering how Lin Mu had found out about them.
âYou should come with me, to meet Huyun Chuan.â Lin Mu suggested.
âHow do we know itâs not a trap?â a second immortal asked.
âEven if it is a trap, is there anything you three can do?â Lin Mu replied. âAnd you must have already seen the battle earlier if you were spying from here instead of barging in directly.â He added.
The immortals pursed their lips at having their plan being seen through.
It was evident that while these three immortals were a lot more careful than Immortal Taegu and the other human convicts. But despite that, they had still been caught by Lin Mu.
And it wasnât like they could just leave without getting Huyun Chuan either.
It might have been fine if they did so being unable to find him, but now that they knew clearly the man was here, they couldnât go back. If they did, it would be violating the mission and their elders would know.
Lin Mu had already obtained more than enough information from Huyun Chuan to know how things went in his clan and other noble clans. They all had techniques to verify information as well as pick out truths and falsehoods.
It was a very important thing to have that, or the clan would suffer great losses.
âWhat do you want from us?â The first immortal questioned.
âHmm?â Lin Mu raised a brow.
âYou made that huge banner above the mountain. There is no way you donât want something from us. This is all clearly meant to draw us in.â The third immortal who had been silent till now spoke.
âThen there is also the five colored mist and the heavenly phenomena. All these donât clearly add up.â The seconds immortal chimed on.
âYou will know more as long as you come with me. As for what I want, it is the same as your young master. To leave this place.â Lin Mu stated.
âImpossible.â The first immortal spoke.
âYou cannot leave this place. You seriously think we will give you our teleportation talismans?â the third immortal scoffed.
âI do want your teleportation talismans, but Iâm not going to use it myself. I only need them to study it. Iâll return them to you intact.â Lin Mu stated honestly.
He knew there was no way they would be leaving without Huyun Chuan. And if they wanted him, they would have to go to the mountain.
Also from their careful demeanor, it was also obvious that they werenât ones to directly resort to violence.
âThey are certainly smarter than Huyun Chuan in this regard...â Lin Mu recalled the manâs tendency to pick fights.
