The evening was gloomy as they were on their way back to their home. They ate their lunch silently without uttering a word to each other. Tension increases manifold as thick silence was prevailing around.
Zameer asked her father to grant permission to take her home and he didn't object. Nor she had any guts to refuse him.
"Zameer," She tried to reach for his arms but he jerked her hands away.
"Please don't talk to me," Zameer glared as his hold on the steering wheel tightened.
"Isme hamari galti kya hai?" Zahra asked in a frustrated tone.
(What was my fault?)
"Galti meri hai. I did a terrible mistake by trusting you," His jaw tightened.
(It's my mistake)
"Then you should have let me stay there. Why you are taking me home?" Zahra asked in a low voice.
"So you can spend more time with your ex," Zameer eyes blazed with fire as he glared at her.
"Zameer," She breathed as her heart clench at his harsh words. Zahra didn't even realize when tears flowed down her cheeks.

"Come here, Zahra," Zameer blazing eyes startled her.
There was something about his demeanor that was scaring her. The way he wrapped her hands around her waist possessively.
Zameer pulled her in his lap and tightened his hold on her waist.
"Zahra," He breathed as he buried his face in the neck.
"I love you so fucking much. Do you have any idea how much I was dying to see you?" Zameer sucks the soft behind her ear and she moaned.
Zahra clutches his shirt in her fist and she nodded her head in response.
"Tell me everything, Zahra. Kuch mat chuppau mujhse. Ab main bardasht nahi kar paunga. Tum meri biwi ho. Aur main tum par bohot bharosa karta hoon. Aur usse bhi zyada main tumse pyaar karta hoon. Main tumhare baare mein kuch galat nahi sochna chahta," Zameer cupped her cheeks and a lone tear escaped his eye.
(Don't hide anything from me. I won't tolerate it now. You are my wife and I trust you a lot. And I love you even more. I don't want to think bad of you)
"Zameer- ham aapse waada karte hai ke ham aainda aapse kuch bhi nahi chhupayenge. Hamse bohot badi galti hui hai. I and Azhar had a relationship in the past which ends in a disaster. Our parents accepted our relationship. We even got engaged. Someone created a misunderstanding between us and the wedding got canceled. In that haste, I got married to you. And I didn't regret it a bit, Zameer. You are the best thing that ever happens to me," Zahra looked into his eyes and he averted his gaze away.
(I promise you that I won't ever hide anything from you. I did a terrible mistake)
She didn't miss the way his jaw clenched or his eyes which were red.
A loud moan escaped her lips when his hands roamed inside her kurti. He removed her kurti and felt her exposed skin.
"You are mine, Zahra," He laid her on the bed and hovered over her petite figure.
His teeth grazed her collarbones and she stifles a moan.
"You have hurt me a lot, Zahra," There was moisture in his eyes.
"I am sorry," Zahra muttered looking at him with guilt in her eyes.
Her heart quivered when he tugged her lips and suck her lower lips. A moan escaped her lips when his tongue explored her mouth. His either hands were caging her. This was the moment of ecstasy.
A dark night witnessed the couple making love. Clouds and stars witnessed how he marked her as his every single time. It was the night of ecstasy. The couple grew even closer to each other with every thrust. It was one of the pleasures able nights where they both reach the level of ecstasy and drown in the ocean of passion.

When Zahra woke up, she was alone in bed. Her clothes were scattered around and she clutched the white comforter to her chest.
Her eyes were brimming with tears and her heart twisted with pain.
He still didn't forgive me, Zahra thought.
After the shower, she changed into the white salwar kameez. When she was blow-drying her hair, her gaze fell on the note.
There was something written on it.
I still need time Zahra. It's not easy to forget such a thing. It will be better if you will not talk to me. I need some time alone.

Gulping down her tears, she took a deep breath. She was mentally prepared for this. She knew that he was not going to treat her right. But she expected him to be a little understanding.
Zahra promised herself that she will convince him at any cost.
The night was deep and the silvery pearl-like moon was adorned in the sky. The naughty glinting stars were chasing around the beautiful sky. The dark sky was covered with countless small stars. The weather was cold and chill.
Few strands of hair fell on her face and she tucked behind her ear. Her face was shining under the light of the sky.
Zahra was standing in the kitchen with a dark blue shawl wrapped around her shoulder. She was wearing a plain off-white anarkali. Her hair was tied in a messy bun while few strands of hair were covering her side face.
Steering the gravy of chicken karahi, she finely chopped the dry fruits on the chopping board.
She decorated the dry fruits on the top of the kheer.
It was almost night but Zameer wasn't at home. Her heart was not at peace. Zahra decided to cook his favorite food and wanted to sort things out instead of ignoring each other. She doesn't want to create any misunderstanding further.
Turning the butter naan which was on the tawa, Zahra turned off the stove.
Her heart quivered when she felt someone shutting the main door.
"Meer," She moved towards him and his heart skips a beat at her face which was full of innocence.
Zameer jaw tightened and he averted his gaze away.
"Aap apni Zahra ki baat nahi sunenge?" Zahra asked as she clutches his arms.
(You won't listen to your Zahra?)
Still no response!
"Zameer- aaj hamne aapka pasandida khaana banaya hai. Aur kitna naraz rahenge aap hamse?" Zahra whined as her lips pursued into the pout.
(I made your favorite food. For how long you are gonna stay angry with me?)
"I am not hungry," He glared.
"Hamne kheer bhi banaya hai," Zahra added.
(I also made kheer)
"Can't you understand what I am tryna stay? Stay away from me, Zahra. I am not interested to eat food made by you. Go and make food for your ex. Seems like you are more interested in him," Zameer scoffed as he closed the door of a room with a loud thud.
Zahra was rooted there as her throat clogged. Tears fell down her cheeks uncontrollably as she settled on the couch. She hiccuped and pull her legs near her chest.
It was almost after midnight when he came out of the room. His gaze fell on her shivering figure on the couch. The window was open and chill air was surrounding the atmosphere.
His heart twisted in pain seeing her tear-stained cheeks. Her nose was all red from crying while her lips quivered.
"Zahra," He bend down near the couch but she didn't glance at him.
"Have you ate your dinner?" Zameer asked and she didn't utter a word.
"Zahra, main kuch puchh raha hoon tumse. Tumne dinner kiya hai ke nahi?" He glared.
(I am asking you something. Have you eaten your dinner?)
"I am not answerable to you," Zahra scoffed without looking at him.
Her breath hitched when he sat on the couch and pulled her trembling figure on his lap. She tried to protest but deep down she knows that she needed it very badly.
Zahra clutches his heart in her tight fist as she broke down into tears.
"Ham bohot mohabbat karte hai aap se, Meer. Jaan se bhi badh kar. Aap kyu hamari mohabbat par shak kar rahe hai? Aap kyu hamara dil dukha rahe hai? Wo hamara dil se kabka utar gaye. Zameer, buzdil logon ko dil se utaarne mai zyada waqt nahi lagta. Agar ham abhi tak unko chahte tou kabhi aapko apne nazdeek nahi aate. Hamari mohabbat sirf aap hai. Hamara dil sirf aap ko dekhne ke liye tadapta hai. Aap kyu hame aziyat de rahe? Ham kasam khaate ke hamne kabhi shaadi ke baad unse baat tak bhi nahi ki," Zameer felt remorse seeing her give clarification for her love.
(I love you the most, Meer. More than my life. Why are you doubting my love for you? I have forgotten him a long ago. It's easy to forget such people. If I would have feelings for him, I would have never let you come near me. I only love you. You don't know how much my heart craves to see you. I swear I never talked to him after our wedding)
"I am so sorry, meri jaan. Mujhe maa'f kardo. I did a mistake by not trusting you. Tum biwi ho meri. Itna haq tou banta tha ne ke mai tumhara bharosa karu. I was overpowered by my insecurities and jealously that I didn't realize that I have such a gem of a wife. I am so sorry for everything," Zameer said with a guilt-filled tone as he dropped a kiss on her knuckles.
(My soul. Forgive me. You are my wife and I should have trusted you)
"Waada kare ke aap kabhi ham se aise baat nahi karenge. We will sort out the difference no matter what. I trust you a lot and I expect the same from you," Zahra cupped his cheeks and he kissed her palm.
(Promise me that you will not ever talk with me like this)
"Waada," He smiled cuddling with his wife.
(Promise)
"Let's go and make you eat dinner," He entwined her hands and lead her to the kitchen.
Zameer took a plate from the cabinet and filled it with gravy, naan, and a bowl of kheer.
He chuckled seeing his wife sitting on the slab looking at him with excitement.
Zameer spooned a kheer and make her eat the heavenly dessert.
"Aap nahi khaayenge?" Zahra asked narrowing her eyes at him.
(You won't eat?)
"Bhook nahi hai. I already ordered biryani from our favorite restaurant and ate in my office. I missed you a lot while I was having dinner," Zahra pouted at his words.
(I am not hungry)
"Aap akele khaa gaye. Ham nahi kar rahe aapse baat. You know very well how much I like biryani," Zahra whined.
(You ate it all alone. I am not talking with you)
"I will take you there tomorrow," He chuckled at her childishness.
"Zahra," Zameer muttered her name as he leaned closer.
"Don't you think that we have forgotten something? I mean in these 6 months of our marriage, we didn't go anywhere for a vacation. Our honeymoon is still pending," Zameer smirked at her flush state.
"Just wait, love. There's a big surprise for you," He kissed her forehead.
