The sky was pale blue as the sun was set down. An orange hue was spread around reflecting the calm atmosphere. The swirling wind was running the marathon as the pale blue color on the sky turned lustrous.

Zameer entered his room and the emptiness making his heart churn. The curtains were moving with the rhythm of the wind while his room lost all its allures. It's doesn't feel right to me. He was missing her. His Zahra. His dil ka sukoon. His aankhon ki thandak.

The six months of their marriage were pure bliss for them. They loved each other, admire each other a lot. Their days hardly passed without seeing each other. Every day, Zahra used to make him breakfast and they both have their food together. They usually go on a date to a carnival, a new restaurant, or a panipuri stall. At night, they would cuddle with each other or make love all night.

Zameer raked his fingers through his hair in a frustrated manner as he moved towards the closet. He open the top button of his black shirt when his phone started ringing.

A genuine smile broke on his face as he laid on the bed facing the ceiling. His heart fluttered when he attended the call.

"Meer," Zahra breathed as she bit her lips.

"Jee. Jaan e Meer," Her cheeks flushed at his choice of endearment.

(Yes. Soul of Meer)

"Na tang kare aap hame," Zahra pouted and a crimson color fell on her cheeks.

(Dont do this)

"Kuch galat tou nahi kaha maine. Jaan tou hai aap meri. Waise badi zaalim hai aap.  Jaan tou pehle hi le li thi aapne. Ab mera dil bhi le liya hai. Ab aap yaha par nahi hai tou sukoon bhi le gai hain apne saath," Zameer let out a heavy sigh as he put his hands on his left chest.

(I didn't say anything wrong. You are my soul. By the way, you are very cruel. You took away my heart and soul. As you are not here, you also took away my peace)

Zahra's cheeks burned at the way he never misses a chance to show her how much he loves and respects her.

"Mr. Zameer Shah Qadri, aap ko nahi lag raha ke aap aaj kal bohot cheesy ho rahe hai. Kaha se flirting lessons liye jaa rahe hai?" Zahra asked in a playful tone and he chuckled.

(Dont you think that you have become very cheesy lately? From where you are taking the flirting lessons?)

"Haina? Mujhe bhi yahi lagta hai. Pehle tou kisi ladki ko aankh utha kar bhi dekhna mujhe pasand nahi tha. Ab tou ek bohot khaas ladki ko dekhe begair sukoon nahi milta. Aap ne mujhe pagal karke rakh diya hai. Aap ne hi mujhe bigaad ke rakha hai," Zameer accused her playfully.

(Really? Even I was feeling the same. I didn't even use to stare at any girl. Now I can't have peace without looking at you. You got me all whipped and spoil)

Zahra smacks her forehead and a soft smile was decorated on her lips.

"Aap hamse aisi baatein kyu karte hai?" Zahra groaned.

(Why did you talk to me like this?)

"Aap se nahi tou mohalle wali fariha se karu?" Zameer mocked her and she bit her lips.

(So you want me to talk this to Fariha, our neighbor?)

"Meer," Zahra pouted.

"Waise aap waapis kab aa rahi hai? Sach batau tou yaha zara accha nahi lagta," Zameer said in a sincere tone.

(When you are coming back? I am missing you a lot)

"Meer, hamara ek aur hafta rukne ka iraada hai. Baba kah rahe the ke ham thode din ke liye ruk jaaye. Unhe manaa karna accha nahi lagta. Aap tab tak enjoy kariye na. You can spend time with your friends. You can watch movies and cricket," Zahra suggested as she was feeling guilty.

(Meer, I am thinking of staying a week. Dad wants me to stay more. I don't feel good denying his request. You can also enjoy)

"Mai koi baccha nahi hoon jo aap mujhe aise manaa rahi hai," Zameer snorted.

(I am not a kid that you are trying to manipulate me)

"Hamne koi galat mashwara tou nahi diya hai. Aap apne dosto ko bulaa sakte hai. You can also go on a trip," Zahra explained.

(I am not giving you the wrong advice. You can call your friends over and go on a trip)

"Aap hi tou meri dost hai. Sirf aap hi hai. Zahra, I am an introvert and I despise being casual with everyone around me. There are only certain people in my life with whom I can be close. And you are the only person. Sach batau tou mai aapi se bhi itna close nahi hoon jitna aap se hoon. Wo mujhse badi hai, mai unki bohot izzat karta hoon. Par mere dil o

dimag mai jo baatein hai wo sirf aapko pata hai. Iss liye kah raha hoon ke mujhe itna pareshan na kare," Zameer smiled as he runs his fingers through his hair.

(You are my only friend. Only you. You know that I am not even close to my sister. You know every single thing about me. That's why I am telling you to come back to me. It's hard to live without you)

Zahra brushed away the lone that escaped her eyes. Her heart fluttered at his words.

"Aapko pata hai, Meer. Hame aapki yeh aadat bohot acchi lagti hai. Aap jo hamse apne dil ki har baat batate hai. Hame dil mai ek tassali rahti hai ke aap kabhi hamse kuch bhi nahi chhupayenge," Zahra said in a sincere tone.

(You know that I am in love with your ways. I feel luckiest when you share everything with me. I have the peace in my heart that you won't hide anything from me)

"Waise aap kal ho sake tou aap hamse milne aa sakte hai. Hame bhi aapki bohot yaad aati hai. Ham dono phir kahi ghumne jaayenge," Zahra added and a satisfied smile played across his lips.

(You can come tomorrow to meet me. Even I miss you a lot. Then we can go somewhere to enjoy)

"Main abhi aa jaata hoon," Zameer smiled and she chuckled.

(I can come now)

"Itne din sabr kiya hai. Kuch waqt aur sabr kar le. Sabr ka phal meetha hota hai," Zahra chuckled putting the palm over her mouth.

(You have waited a lot. You need to be patient. Patience bears the sweet fruit)

"Baat tou sahi hai. Yeh wala phal tou hadd se zyada meetha hai," Zameer smirked referring to plum lips.

(You are right. This fruit is beyond sweet)

"Meer," Zahra whined and he chuckled.

"Suniye. Aapne dinner kar liya hai? Ya aap ne kuch order kiya hai restaurant se? Ham Madiha se kah de aap ke liye dinner banaa kar bhej de, agar aapko bahar ka khana nahi khaana ho tou," Zahra asked in a concerned tone.

(Listen. Did you have your dinner? Or do you order something from the restaurant? Or should I ask Madiha to send dinner for you if you dont want to eat anything from outside)

Zameer scratches the back of his neck in nervousness.

"Uhm. Zahra, meri baat ka bura na maanna par Madiha ko sahi main khana banana nahi aata. Pure khaane ka zaika udd jaata hai. Aur mere na baher se khaane ka zara mann nahi hai. Mann bhar gaya hai baher ke khaane se," Zameer scrunched his nose and she giggled.

(Zahra, dont tell it Madiha but she dont knows how to cook. The food made by her is tasteless. And I dont want to order from outside. I am so tired of restaurants food)

"Accha, hamne na subah mai hi guddu chacha se kahkar aapke liye taaze bread or bun manga liye the . Aur ham ne kabab or kofta banaa kar fridge mai rakha hai. Aap usse shallow fry kar dijiyega," Zahra sighed and his eyebrows drew in confusion.

(Ohh. I asked guddu, uncle, to bring bread and bum for your breakfast. Even I made some kabab and kofta before coming here. It's in the fridge. You can shallow fry it)

"What the hell is shallow fry? Aur kabab ko fry hi karna haina. Tou mai air fryer mai hi kar leta hoon. Itni jhanjhat kon karega," Zameer shrugged his shoulder.

(If I have to fry the kabab, then I can use an air fryer. Who will do this much work)

Zahra smacks her forehead and suddenly becomes cautious when he turned their call into a video call.

She fixed her dupatta and he raised his eyebrows.

"Main koi jhaank nahi raha hoon yaha se," Zameer scoffed and her cheeks flushed. She bit her lips to control the blush to form on her cheeks.

(I am not staring at that)

"Aap bohot besharam hai," Zahra pouted and he chuckled.

(You are so shameless)

"Waise aap ek number ke baudam hai," Zahra gave him a displeased look.

(You are such a mad person)

"What the hell is baudam? And why you are using that word for me. I swear Zahra if this word doesn't have good meaning then I won't spare you," Zameer narrowed his eyes at her and she burst into laughter.

(Mad)

"Kya kar lenge aap?" Zahra challenged him and a smirk played on his lips.

(What will you do?)

"You will know soon," She bit her lips at his words.

"Yeh sab chodiye. Hamne aapko ek mahine pehle kaha tha ke air fryer repair karana hai. Par aapko tou hamari baat sunni hi nahi hoti. Aap ek kaam kariye. Put the frying pan on the stove and enough oil to fry. The flame should be in a medium mode," Zahra instructed and he did as she told him.

(Leave it. A month ago, I was reminded to repair the air fryer but you didn't listen to me. Do one thing)

"Yaar Zahra, tel tou mai bubbles ban rahe hai. Kuch hoga tou nahi na?" Zameer asked in a curious tone and she stifles a smile at her adorable husband.

(Zahra, there is a bubble coming out of the oil. Will something happen?)

"Agar ghar mein aag lag gai na tou main zimmedaar nahi rahunga," Zameer added as he narrowed his eyes.

(I won't be responsible if the house will be on fire)

All she was doing was staring at her precious husband who was so keen on a simple job of cooking.

Zahra smiled at her reflection in the mirror. Applying a transparent lipgloss on her red lips, she completed her look. She fixed her dupatta as a smile was playing on her lips.

Zameer is coming to meet her today. They are gonna meet each other after the whole freaking week. She was excited as well as nervous.

She moved towards the kitchen to prepare food. Putting the tray of pudding in the fridge, she moved towards the stove. There was a deg of korma and biryani.

"Nafeesa aapa, fridge se dhaniya aur birista dede. Biryani mai daalna hai," Zahra said fixing the layers of rice.

(Nafeesa aunt, pass me the coriander and fried onions. I want to add it in a biryani)

The maid passed her the chopped coriander and she decorated it on the top of biryani.

"Baba kaha hai?Aur aap kahi jaa rahi hai?" Zahra asked noticing the wallets in her hand.

(Where is Dad? And where are you going?)

"Aapke Baba ghar par nahi hai. Shayed kuch kaam se baher gaye hai. Ham zara bazaar ki taraf jaa rahe the. Wo dahi khatam ho gai thi. Raita banana haina," Zahra nodded her head at the nafeesa aapa words.

(Your father is not at home. I think he has gone outside for some work. I was going to the market to bring curd)

The maid left and she was left alone. Zahra moved towards the fridge to take out some fruits when she felt a presence beside her.

Her heart quivered when she saw him. The man who was the reason for her destruction.

Azhar

"Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?" Zahra stepped back as her body trembled.

(What are you doing here?)

"Mai tumse baat karne aaya hoon, Zahra. Tumne kyu shaadi ke liye haan kar diya. Mujhe maaloom hai ke tum zara khush nahi ho is shaadi se. Tum kyu aziyat de rahi ho apne aap ko?" Azhar tried to reach for her arms but she jerked it away.

(I came here to talk to you, Zahra. Why you agreed to marry him? I know you are not happy with the marriage. Why you are troubling yourself?)

"Tum durr raho mujhse. Warna mujhse bura koi nahi hoga. Bohot badi galti ki hai hamne aapse mohabbat kare. Aisa lagta hai ke hamne tumse kabhi mohabbat hi nahi ki. Hamara dil mai jo Zameer ke liye mohabbat aur izzat haina wo ham kabhi lafzo se bayaan nahi kar sakte. I never fell for you. It was just a mere attraction,' Zahra said in a determined tone and he raised his eyebrows.

(Stay away from me or else I won't spare you. I did a big mistake by a falling tie for you. The love and respect I have for Zameer are unexplainable. Sometimes, I feel like I never fell in love with you)

"Tumhe Madiha ne sab kuch bataa diya hai. Iss mai meri koi galati nahi hai. Tou sazaa mujhe kyu mil rahi hai? Main khud uss ladki ko pehli baar club mai dekha tha," Zahra blood boiled at the way he is pretending to be innocent.

(Madiha told you everything. Tell me what's my fault? Why I am to be punished? I saw that girl for the very first time in the club)

Her hands make a contact with his cheeks and she gave him the harsh slap.

Very well deserved.

"Club mai aapka kya kaam hai? Hamare saamne yeh sab natak ki zaroorat nahi. Agar aap hamari izzat nahi kar sakte tou mohabbat kya khaak karenge," Zahra said as a rage builds inside her.

(What were you doing in the club? You don't have to pretend in front of me. How can you love me when you don't even know how to respect me?)

"Ham dono ka jo rishta tha wo maazi mai tha. Aur wo hamari galti thi. Aur sabse badi galti yeh thi ki hamne aapki junooniyat ko mohabbat samajh liya," she glared and she felt a gaze burning holes in her back.

(Our relationship was in the past and it was a mistake. The worse thing is misunderstanding your obsession with love)

She turned around and her heart churns seeing Zameer. His eyes were red and an unbelievable look was plastered on his face. He just couldn't believe what he just heard.

All he understands is that his Zahra betrayed him.
