Zahra's breath hitched when he caged her to the nearest wall. Their faces were inches apart while his other hand was wrapped around her waist in a possessive way.

They just came back from her father's house and there was an uncomfortable silence prevailing around. They didn't utter a word during lunchtime and no one even tries to initiate it.

"Zahra, I need a serious explanation," His hands tightened around her waist as he looks deadly into her eyes.

"Zameer," She stuttered and his jaw ticked.

"Maine aapse kuch puchha hai, Zahra. Kon tha woh? Uski himmat bhi kaise hui aapki taraf aankh utha kar dekhne ki bhi," Zameer jaw clenched as his eyes were blazing with rage.

(I asked you something. Who was he? How dare he even look at you?)

"Wohh. Woh hamare fiance the," Zahra bit her lips and he shoots her a glare.

(He... He was my fiance)

"Ex-fiance," Zameer glared as he reframed her sentence.

"Wahi baat hai. Wo hamare khala ke bete hai. Ammi ne rishta bohot pehle tay kar diya tha. Ham dono ki baat pakki ho gai thi. Par kuch misunderstanding ho gai thi. Abbu ne rishte se manaa kar diya tha," Zahra half lied and he let out a frustrated sigh.

(It's the same thing. He is my aunt's son. My mother fixed the marriage long ago. Then we had our engagement. Then some misunderstanding happened. My father immediately refused the proposal)

"He should have known his limits. Fuck. He called you with endearment. I never called my wife using an endearment and he got the audacity to do that. Piece of shit," Zameer growled as he runs his fingers through his messy hair.

"Zameer," Zahra whispered his name while looking at him with guilt in her eyes.

"Zahra, I am very possessive of what's mine and I surely won't tolerate if someone will call my wife with endearments. Does he used to call you that word earlier?" Zameer asked and her cheeks flushed.

"Zameer. Unka hamare saath ek rishta tha. Ham dono ki shaadi hone wali thi. Unka haq tha ke woh hame kisi bhi naam se bulaaye. Ab wo rishta khatam ho chuka hai. Ham par sirf aapka haq hai. Sirf aapka," Zahra wounded her arms around his neck as she explained to him everything in a low voice.

(We were supposed to get married. I had a relation with him. He got the right to call me with whatever name he likes. But now the relation ended. You are my husband. You only have the right on me. Only you)

Her heart throbbed as he carried her in his arms. He gently tucked her on the bed and her heart quivered.

"Meer," Zahra breathed and his jaw ticked. She clutches his arms tightly and he averted his gaze away.

"Haq hai na mera aap par. Aaj apne ek haq maangunga tou manaa nahi karengi na aap?" Zameer asked and she nodded her head hesitantly.

(I have a right on you, right? If I will ask for my right, I hope you won't deny it)

Her words died down her throat as he claimed her lips into the heated kiss. He ducked his head down and nibble on her lower lips. Zahra clutches the bedsheet in a tight grip as his warm lips were gently caressing her lips.

His hands were wrapped around her waist as they both were panting heavily.

"You are mine. Just like I'm yours completely," Zameer said against her lips in a deep voice.

"Only yours," Zahra breathed running her fingers on his jaw.

"Zahra- I trust you with everything. I just don't like that you hide this from me. I don't know how to say this. But I don't want you to mention him from now on.  I don't want us to argue because of the third person," Zameer gently caressed her cheeks, and she nodded her head.

"Mere dil ko gawara nahi hai ke aap kisi aur ke baare mai soche bhi," Zameer held up her palm and put it on his left chest as he whispered those words. Her cheeks flushed at his words.

(My heart can never accept you thinking about anyone else)

That night, she promised herself that she won't think about him at all. She also promised to give Zameer a chance to love and cherish her.

Zahra was in the kitchen when her mobile phone started ringing. She held up her phone as a smile played on her lips. Zameer was calling her.

"Zahra," He breathed and the crimson color fell on her cheeks.

"Jee," Zahra replied tucking her hair behind her ear.

(Yes?)

"Can you make some tea? The weather is quite rainy and I will come home early. I will also bring some snacks," Zameer said as he was very excited to spend time with his wife.

"Jee. Zaroor. Ham banaa denge. Bass aap jaldi se ghar aa jaiye. I am waiting for you," Zahra smiled and ended the call.

(Of course, I will make it. I just want you to come home early)

She moved towards the kitchen and put the saucepan on the stove. Adding all the ingredients for the chai, Zahra waited for the tea to boil.

The shades of blue and purple deepened in the shadows of evening. The last rays of sun skimmed through the surface. The wind was icy and withering. The downpour started in the early evening and continued through the night, a heavy pelting of water that thundered against rooftops and drowned out the sound of all else.

Zameer bought samosa and pakoda. They enjoyed the snacks with the kadak chai and the beautiful weather. They were in each other arms. They were free to each more than ever.

"Aapko baarish ka mausam nahi accha lagta?" Zahar asked as she forces him to dance in the rain.

(You don't like the rainy season?)

"Itna bhi kuch khaas nahi hai. Apart from the fact that I am enjoying this moment with my wife," Her cheeks flushed at his words.

(There is nothing special)

"Aap ko itne jaldi sharam aa jaati hai," Zameer smirked at her blush-coated cheeks.

(You act like a shy person)

"Aap baat bhi tou aisi karte hai," Zahra replied hesitantly as she plays with the button of his white shirt.

(You are the reason I am a shy person)

Zameer chuckled at her state and she hid her face in his chest. They both were drenched in the rain as the rain was pouring down heavily.

Zahra's black anarkali stuck to her body like a second skin when she twirled around.

She collided into his chest and he stares at her hazel brown orbs which were filled with innocence.

Zahra clutches his shoulder tightly as his hands were wrapped around her waist. Without a second thought, they claim each other lips into a kiss that was filled with the hint of love, passion, and trust.

Later that night, the couple made love with each other for the first time. The room was filled with moans and groans as they reached the level of ecstasy. On the same night, they exposed their flaws to each other. And they kissed away all the flaws heartily accepting each other the way they are. With every thrust, they grew closer to each other.

It was one of the most beautiful nights where the moon and stars were smiling at the adorable couple cuddling with each other.

"Are you alright?" Zameer cupped her cheeks and she nodded even though she feels tired.

Zahra was resting in the bed and they have ordered breakfast from their favorite cafe.

"I did most of the thing and you are tired," Zameer chuckles causing her cheeks to flush.

"Meer," Zahra hit his chest lightly as she snuggles into him.

"I don't know what the future holds for us. I don't know if I will be able to fulfill all the promises. But I will always try to keep you happy. I will love you, cherish you and spoil you with everything you want," Zameer wrapped his arms around her shoulder as he kissed the top of her head.

"I will also try to be a good wife," Zahra said with a faint smile.

At the end of the day, they were there for each other. It is the magic of nikah that even the coldest hearts melts.
