Aur Mohabbat tou sabr ke elawa kuch bhi nahi hai
â¤â¥â¤â¥â¤â¥
Minahil steered the spoon in the coffee mug while she was lost in the deep thought. She was startled when Azlan shooked her shoulder.
"Kya soch rahi ho?" Azlan asked raising his eyebrows as he sat in front of her.
(What are you thinking?)
"Yaar, hame aisa lag raha hai ke Harris hame ignore kar rahe hai. Jab se hamne unhe rishte wali baat batai hai, wo tou Hamari taraf dekhte bhi nahi hai. Hamare kaan taras gaye unki awaaz sunne ke liye. Wo bohot professional behave kar rahe hai. Ya Allah, unhe haar tou nahi maan li," Minahil said in a panicked tone.
(Man, I feel Harris is ignoring me. He is not even looking at me since I told him about the proposal. I want to hear his voice. He is behaving very professionally. What if he has given up on me)
Azlan resisted himself from bursting into laughter. He composed himself as he caressed her shoulder and passed her the glass of water.
"Relax- kuch nahi hota. Chill karo. Zyade se zyada kya hoga. Wo tumhare baccho ke mamu ban jaayenge," Azlan chuckled as she gulped down the glass of water.
(Nothing will happen. Chill. What more will happen? He will become uncle of your kids)
Minahil hit his arm and glared at him.
"Badi jungli qism ki aurat ho. Allah bachaye tumhare hone wale shouhar ko," Azlan rubbed his arm and said.
(You are a wild woman. May Allah save your husband from you)
"Dafa ho jao, Azlan. Warna maine tumhara sar phaad dena hai. Sab tumhari wajah se hua hai," Minahil blamed him while massaging her forehead with her fingers.
(Get lost from here. I will kill you. It's all happening because of you)
"Meri kya galti hai?" Azlan asked raising his eyebrows.
(What's my fault)
"Bhae, aap zyada masoom na bane. Sari galti tumhari hi hai. Tumhari hi plan tha unko jealous feel karwane ka. Aur sazaa mujhe mil rahi hai. Kasam se, agar unhone haar maanli hogi na tou maine tumhara qatl kar dena hai. Tum bohot bure ho," Minahil called out him and he smacked his forehead.
(Man, you don't need to be so innocent. It's all your fault. You planned to make him feel jealous. And I am getting the punishment. I swear I won't spare you if he will give up on you. You are very bad)
"Relax Minahil. Sahi mai aisa kuch nahi hoga," Azlan wrapped his arms around and she calmed down.
(Nothing will happen)
Minahil sniffed as her eyes watered.
"Azlan hame bohot dar lag raha hai. Agar wo kisi aur se mohabbat karte ho aur unhone kisi aur se shaadi karli tou hamara kya hoga," Minahil sniffed to which he let out a sigh.
(I am very scared. What if he is in love with someone or marry someone)
"Fuzool baatein mat karo, Minahil. Mai tumhare Bhai jaisa hua aur mai kabhi galat umeed nahi dunga. Harris tumse bohot mohabbat karte hai par unko ehsaas nahi hai. Wo kisi aur se shaadi nahi kar sakte hai. Aur wo naa hi tumhari shaadi kisi aur se hone denge. Unhe thoda waqt do. Unhe khud ehsaas ho jayega," Azlan explained to which she gave him the faint smile.
(Don't talk rubbish. I am like your brother and I won't give you false hope. Harris loves you a lot but he is unaware of his feelings. He won't marry someone else nor he will let you. Give him some space. He will surely realize his feelings)
"Ek tou tumne meri shirt kharab kar di aur has rahi ho. Accha, jao aur jaake apna munh dholo. Chudail se kam nahi lag rahi ho," Azlan chuckled to which he hit his arm.
(You ruined my shirt and you are laughing. Go and wash your face. You are looking like a witch)
"Sudhar jao, Azlan," Minahil fake glared and moved away from there.
(Behave properly)
Today was a very important meeting and she will assist Harris. She washed a face and applied a moisturizer. She took a red lip balm and applied it to her lips. She fixed her hair and went to the office after she looks presentable. She was carrying a very gentle and polite aura.
â¤â¥â¤â¥â¤â¥
Harris's jaw tightens when he saw one of the investors staring at Minahil. He clenched his fist and pinch the bridge of his nose to calm himself down.
Harris was looking handsome in his black shirt. His top few buttons were undone. Muscle and biceps were bulging out of his black shirt. He rubbed his stubble jaw and raked his fingers through his messy hair.
Minahil was busy arranging the files that she noticed that someone was staring at her. She was looking pretty in her ethnic wear.
She tucked the stray of hair behind her ear and bit her lips looking at the file carefully.
"Minahil, I will handle it. You can go to your office and check the marketing data," Harris spoke as he couldn't stand someone staring at her.
Minahil hesitantly nodded her head and collected all the files.
"So Mr. Ahmed, what're your thoughts about the investments? " Harris asked as a smirk was playing on his lips.
"How could I deny the deal? The investments are pretty good. And especially Minahil is so talented. She has worked so hard on the project and she is so beautiful. I am hoping for her to be single. It's hard to find such a pure soul in today's world," Mr. Ahmed said making his blood boiled.
Harris gritted his teeth and his hands balled into the fist.
"Excuse me, I have to make a call," Mr. Ahmed said and moved away from there before Harris could murder him.
â¤â¥â¤â¥â¤â¥
Minahil was engrossed in her work that she didn't realize someone's presence. Ahmed cleared his throat to gain her attention. She was startled as she awkwardly greeted him.
"Aap yaha kaise? Do you need anything?" Minahil hesitated.
(How come you are here)
"Can we talk? It's important," Ahmed said and she nodded her head
"MashaAllah, you are so beautiful and talented. I just saw the reports and I was impressed with your skills. How about you work in my company? I will make sure that you will get promoted and will have many offers in the contract. In the end, I would be lucky to have you in my company," Ahmed insisted.
"I can't-" He cut her off as he placed his card on the table.
"Think about it. It's the chance of the lifetime and it's the golden opportunity for you," He said making the awkward smile appeared on her face.
"I will think about it," Minahil hesitantly replied as he held the card.
He passed her the genuine smile and moved away from there.
â¤â¥â¤â¥â¤â¥
Harris runs his finger on his stubble jaw as he took a heavy sigh.
"Well, I thought about the deal but I am not satisfied. So the deal is canceled," Harris said raking his fingers through his hair.
"You can't do this with us. We are working on the project for months," Ahmed shot up from his seat.
"Well, I am going to do it. I can give you some recommendations. It's the most I can do for you," Harris smirks while flipping the page of that file.
There was no one in the office beside them.
"Is it because of that girl? I have seen the way you look at her, "Ahmed raised his eyebrows.
Harris let out a frustrated sigh and closed the file.
" Well, she's all mine to see," Harris replied in a duh tone.
"I know that she's single and you don't have any relation with her. It will be fun when she will actually marry me in front of your eyes," Ahmed chuckled making his fist.
A punch landed on his jaw taking him aback. Ahmed fell on the floor and the blood was streaming out of his nose. Harris held him by his collar and pushed him towards the wall. He wrapped his fingers around his neck and tightened it making him gasp for air.
"Don't you fucking dare mention her name from your filthy mouth. You don't have an idea what I will do if you will keep on roaming around her. I saw the way you look at my girl. The fuck. No one has the right to see her with that look. Get lost from here or I will make sure that I will be your worst nightmare," Harris spat angrily and let go of him.
Ahmed fixed his tie gasping for air. He gave the last look to him and moved away from their instance.
Harris let out a sigh as he folded the sleeves of his black shirt. He was in rage and anger. He angrily took the glass and smashed it on the wall. He pinched the bridge of his nose to calm down his nerves.
Minahil was startled when she heard a voice from his office. Curiosity peeked inside her and she decided to see him if he needs anything. She knocks on the door but she didn't hear any voice. She sighed and open the door without thinking twice.
A sharp pain inflicted in her feet as the glass pieces pierced her feet. Blood started to flow from her feet and she cried out in pain.
"Bewakoof ladki," Harris shot up from his seat and moved towards her.
(Idiot girl)
He wrapped his arms around her and hold her hand. He helped her sitting on the couch.
"Fuck. It's a lot of blood," Harris said in a panicked tone as he removes the first aid box from the drawer. He sat on the edge of the couch and put her feet on his lap
Minahil hissed when he carefully removed the glass pieces from her feet.
"Dard ho raha hai?" Harris asked in a soft tone as he caressed her hand.
(Is it a paining?)
Minahil nodded her head with a pout.
After cleaning the blood, he wrapped a gauze roll bandage around her feet.
"Are you fine now?" He asked and she nodded averting her gaze.
"Why you were ignoring me for the past few days?" Minahil pouted to which let out a forced chuckle.
"Tumhe kya fark padta hai?" Harris said looking at her with his blazing eyes.
(Why do you care)
"Hame fark padta hai. Aap cousin hai hamare," Minahil stammered.
(I care for you. You are my cousin)
"Sirf cousin hi hun?" He asked as his jaw tighten and Minahil avert her gaze away in nervousness.
(I am just your cousin?)
"What happened to that proposal?" Harris asked looking at her with raised eyebrows.
Her throat bobbed as she was playing with the ring in her finger.
"Ham tou haan karne wale the. Par abbu ko rishta thik nahi laga. Iss liye unhone ne manaa kar diya. Hamara bass chalta tou ham fauran haa kar dete," Minahil said in a challenging tone while crossing her arms over her chest.
(I was about to accept the proposal. But father declined it. He didn't find the proposal good. If it will be in my hand, I would have to agree instantly)
"Itni tarsi hui ho shaadi ke liye. Tumhe zara fark nahi padta hai ke wo insaan kaisa hai," Harris said in a sarcastic tone.
(Why you are so eager to get married? You don't care about how that person is)
"Aap bilkul sahi kah rahe hai. Ham bhi chahte hai ke koi hamse mohabbat kare, hamari fikr kare. Ham unse shaadi ke liye isliye tayyar hai ke unke paas himmat hai hamare ghar rishta bhejne ki. Unke paas himmat hai apni pasand zaahir karne ki. Ham kabhi koi aise ladke se shaadi nahi karenge jisse apne jazbaat bayaan karna na aata ho. Ya usse apni mohabbat ke liye stand lene ki himmat nahi hai," Minahil said in a low voice as she jerked his hands from her feet.
He knows very well that she was talking about him. He was simply stunned by her words. He never expected her to be so blunt.
(You are very right. I also want someone to love me, care for me. I agree to the marriage because he has the guts to send the proposal for me. He has a gut to express what he likes. I will never marry anyone who doesn't know how to express his feelings. Or he doesn't have the guts to take a stand for his love)
Harris cleared his throat and pinch the bridge of his nose to calm down his nerves. He averts his gaze away from her.
"Mr. Ahmed offered me a job in his company," Minahil said in an audible tone as she was fidgeting with the edge of her dupatta.
His jaw tightens and he balled his hands into the fist.
"What do you answer him?" Harris asked as his gaze was fixed on the window.
"Harris- aap ko sahi mai lagta hai ke ham haan kar denge. Hamne manaa kar diya hai. Ham aapke begair kaha jaayenge," Minahil pouted and a genuine smile spread across her lips.
(How can I agree to do that job. I rejected the offer. Where I will be without you)
A chuckle escaped his lips as he couldn't hide the smile which was forming on his lips.
"Marry me, Minahil," Harris holds her hand and said looking at her with a genuine smile.
She was stunned by his words.
Is he proposing to me? Minahil thought.
"Aap kya kah rahe hai? Ham aapse shaadi kaise kar sakte hai," Minahil said in a low voice. She tried to play hard for him as she always waited for these moments.
(What are you saying? How can I marry you?)
An amused smile flicked over his lips and he chuckled.
"Minahil- drama band karo. Mujhe maloom hain ke tumhare dil mai laddoo phut rahe hai," Harris chuckled.
(Stop with the drama. I know you are bursting with happiness)
Heat crept up to her cheeks and she lowered her gaze in embarrassment.
"I will come with family tomorrow with the proposal," He dropped a kiss on the top of her head.
"Hamne abhi tak haan nahi kiya?" Minahil smirked.
(I didn't said agree yet)
Harris leaned towards her and smirked back.
"You are playing hard to get. But let me tell you, I wasn't asking you. I was informing you. You will be going to be a wife and I was just being polite by asking you," Harris said in a duh tone making her mouth gaped open.
Minahil pinched her arms just to assure herself that it isn't a dream. Harris chuckled at her actions. Her heart warmed up seeing him smiling like that.
With every smile, with every mere touch, with every sweet glance, they fall for each other even more.
