Faiza brushed her hair back as she was sitting by the window reading her favorite novel, the forty rules of love.
Like Ella, she is also in the quest of finding love. Faiza wants to know how it feels like to be in love. She wants to feel the essence of love.
Faiza bit her lip and closed the book as she was longer wanted to read the book. She opened the window and let the soft breeze calm her confused mind.
Arsh has come back in her life and she accepts every turn of her life. She cried at some point while she was happiest at some point.
The ringing of her phone startled her. Her heartbeat accelerated when she noticed that arsh was calling her.
Faiza bit her lips and took a deep breath to calm down her erratic heartbeats.
Faiza licks her lips and attended the call.
"Aiza," He breathed making a faint smile spread across her lips.
Faiza's palms become sweaty as she was nervous like this for the first time in her life.
"Haan, ham sunn rahe hai," Faiza said clearing her throat.
(Yes, I am listening)
"I want to take you somewhere. It's a very special place for me. I am coming in few minutes," Arsh said in a low voice.
"Ham ready ho jaate hai," Faiza bit her inner cheeks to control the blush which was forming on her cheeks.
(I will get ready)
"I will be waiting for you," Arsh smiled and ended the call.
A strange type of feeling engulfed in her heart as she was feeling like a blooming flower. Everything seemed to be fresh and new. She was overwhelmed with excitement and happiness. She was feeling ecstatic.
Faiza changed into a white shirt and blue faded jeans. She put her light blue dupatta around her neck. She brushed her hair brown silky hair back and looked at herself in the mirror.
"Mamma, ham bahar jaa rahe hai. Thodi der mai aa jayenge," Faiza told when she saw her mother and sister in the living room.
(Mom, I am going. I will be back soon)
"Aap bahar jaa rahi hai na. Zoha ko bhi lekar chale jaaye. Ham ko bohot pareshan kar diya hai Zoha ne," Sehrish said in a mischievous tone.
(If you are going out then take Zoha with you. She is bothering me a lot)
"Khala, ham bhi aapke saath aayenge," Zoha insisted pulling the sleeve of her shirt.
(Aunt, I will also go with you)
Her face paled as the color drained from her face. All her excitement washed over. She thought that they both were going to spend some time alone.
"Aap hamari paas aaiye, zoha. Aapki khala aapko apne saath nahi le jaana chahti. Aapki khala aapke hone wale khalu se milne jo jaa rahi hai," Sehrish said in a mischievous tone making the blood rushed her cheeks.
(You come to me, zoha. Your aunt doesn't want you to go with her. Your aunt is going to meet someone special)
"Aisi baat nahi hai, aapi," Faiza hesitate as she was fidgeting with her fingers.
(It's not like that)
"Tou phir aap zoha ko apne saath le jaaye," Sehrish said making her embarrassed.
(Then take Zoha with you)
"Aapi," she whined.
(Sister)
"Accha. Nahi karte ham aapko pareshan. Aap jaiye aur enjoy kariye aapke arsh ke saath. Par aap hame raat mai sab kuch batayenge," Sehrish said taking zoha in her arms.
(Okay, I won't tease you. You go and enjoy your time with Arsh. But I want you to tell me everything in the night)
Faiza blushed and tuck the stray of hair behind her ears.
"Aap kiska wait kar rahi hai. Jaldi se jaaye. Aapke saajan kabse aapka wait kar rahe hai," Sehrish chuckled.
(What are you waiting for? Just go. Your Romeo is waiting for you)
Faiza kissed her niece's cheeks and moved away from there as soon as she can.
Her eyes went wide when she saw the latest model black motorbike near the gate. Arsh removed his helmet and run his fingers through his hair.
He has become more handsome than ever. He has a stubble beard on his jawline.
Arsh was wearing a black jacket making him look more sophisticated and mature.
"Yeh kya hai, Arsh? Hamne nahi baithne wale hai ispe," Faiza said scrunching her nose.
(What's this Arsh? I won't seat in that)
"Aiza, bohot maza aayega. Tumhe mujhe bharosa nahi hai kya?" Arsh convinced her.
(It will be fun. You don't believe me)
"Arsh mujhe apni jaan bohot azeez hai. Ek tou tumhe, har hafte naya shauk rahta hai," Faiza said in a sarcastic tone.
(I love my life. You always had new interest every week)
Arsh catches her wrist and puts it on his chest. Her heart started pounding faster as her cheeks felt warm all of a sudden.
"Tumse zyada fikr hai mujhe tumhaari jaan ki. Mar ke bhi tumhe kuch hone nahi dunga. You just have to believe me," Arsh brushed his fingers on her cheeks making the faint smile appeared on her face.
(I care about your life more than you do. I will save you even if it will cost my life)
Faiza slowly nodded her head and he passed her the black helmet. She sat behind him and tightly clung to his jacket.
He chuckled and start his motorbike.
Faiza put her head on his shoulder as she was feeling relaxed all of a sudden. All her worries and tension evaporated into the thin air. A soft and calm breeze kisses her skin making her smile. Her heart was at peace after so many years.
"We have reached," Arsh said as they reached the outskirts of the city.
Faiza's eyes went wide when she saw a small bungalow. It was surrounded by a beautiful garden and a fountain.
"What's this?" Faiza asked as her throat bobbed.
"Let me show you around," Arsh replied tucking the stray of hair behind ears.
"Tumhe pata hai ke mai kyu America gaya tha?" Arsh asked as they both sat on the bench.
(You know why I went to America)
Faiza shooked her head as she was very nervous.
"I am still the same Arsh. I am still the guy who fell in love with you five years ago. My love for you is indescribable. All I know that it was pure and real. I didn't leave you because you didn't have feelings for me. I left because I needed to. I still remember that how persistent you were when we first met," Arsh chuckle and brushed his fingers on hers.
Tears welled up inside her eyes.
"Aaj bhi mai tumhe utni hi mohabbat karta hu. Tum aaj bhi utni hi acchi ho. Bohot kuch badal gaya, paanch saal mai. But I am still the same arsh for you. I left because I want to stand on my own feet
Tumse shaadi karne se pehle tumhaare layak banna chahta tha. Apne pairon par khada hona chahta tha. Ham dono ke liye kuch karna chahta hai. Tumhaare bina rahna meri liye bohot mushkil tha," Arsh said with moisture in his eyes.
(I still love you the most. I still like you the way I used to do. Many things changed in those five years)
(I wanted to be worthy of you before marrying you. I wanted to stand on my own feet. I want to do something for us. It was also hard for me to live without you)
"You should have told me," Faiza said on the verge of crying.
"Kuch farak nahi padta. I knew that I can't change your feelings. You can't force someone to love. Par mujhe meri mohabbat par aitbaar tha. Mujhe yakeen tha ke tumhe ek din tumhe zaroor mujhse mohabbat hogi. I am still living on that hope," Arsh said drawing circles on the back of her palm.
(It doesn't make difference)
(But I have believed my love for you. I always know that you will also love me one day)
Faiza had never showered someone with love. But she knows how good it felt when someone showers all their love to you. She was feeling lucky.
"I will show you the house," Arsh said and entwined his fingers with hers.
"It's my dream home. It's not big but it's very cozy and homely. I always dreamed to spend my entire life with you here. I always imagined playing with our kids in the garden. You were always a part of my life. I have designed the house but you can decor it the way you want," Arsh whispered in her ear as they reached inside.
"It's beautiful, arsh," Faiza said as her eyes were scanning the surrounding.
"I have made this house. In all those five years, I didn't let any moment go waste. I did so many jobs. I have worked day and night to make our dream house. My father didn't help me financially while this house was building. I always want our house to be made of our money," Arsh said as a faint smile was playing on his lips.
Faiza didn't realize when tears fell on her cheeks. She instantly wiped it away.
"Here, we will make our small library," Arsh smiled.
"Tumhe hamesha se ummed thi ki mai tumhara intezaar karungi?" Faiza asked making him froze.
(You always know that I will wait for you?)
Arsh turned towards her and place his palm on her cheeks.
"Jaha mohabbat hoti hai waha ummed tou rakhni padti hai," Arsh smiled as his eyes were twinkling with love.
(If there is love, there's also a hope)
â¤â¥â¤â¥â¤â¥
They both were sitting on the small cliff enjoying the beautiful night. There was a comfortable silence prevailing around.
Faiza took a sip of the hot coffee and enjoy the beautiful night.
"Bohot khoobsurat jagah hai," Faiza smiled as she was witnessing the beautiful moments. Arsh nodded his head.
(The place is so beautiful)
"I have bought this for you from my first salary," Arsh said passing her the small box.
"Arsh iski kya zarurat thi?" Faiza asked.
(What's the need for this)
"Yaar, maine bohot pyaar se laaya hai. Ek baar khol kar tou dekho," Arsh said making her chuckle.
(I have bought it with love. At least, open it once)
Faiza opened the box and her eyes shone with amusement.
There was a small cushion cut diamond ring.
"Tum itne acche kyu ho? You are too good for this world," Faiza pinched his cheeks.
(Why you are so good)
"But I won't accept this gift now. Only your wife has a right on your expensive gifts," Faiza smiled and avert her gaze away.
"Tumne kya socha hai shaadi ke baare mai?" Arsh asked raking his fingers through his hair.
(What you have thought about the marriage)
"Yaar, I won't lie. Tum bohot acche insaan ho aur wo ladki khushkismat hogi jiski tumhaare saath shaadi hogi. Ham bohot confuse hai, Arsh. Hamare dil aur dimag mai bohot si baatein chal rahi hai. Hame kuch waqt chahiye," Faiza said in a low voice.
(You are a very good person. Any girl will be lucky to marry you. I am very confused. There are so many things running inside my mind and heart. I need some time)
His throat bobbed as he exhales a heavy breath.
"Aiza tum jo bhi decision logi, mai tumhe support karunga. Even if you don't want to marry me. You can take as much time as you want. But I want you to take the gift. I bought it for you. I can't give it to anyone else," Arsh smiled and slide a ring on her finger.
(I will support you in every decision you will take)
"Thank you so much for understanding me," Faiza smiled and wrapped her arms around herself.
The cold breeze hit her face making her shiver. Arsh took out his jacket and put it on her shoulder protecting her from the cold wind.
As cliché as it sounds, it was one of their memories. The little things he did to heart.
She was afraid that she will fall for him.
They are more than friends and less than a couple.
