Chapter 25 Psychological Trauma
Shen Manting was forced to accept his domineering kiss. Just as her legs were about to give way, the manâs strong arms wrapped around her waist and gently lifted her up, placing her on the dressing table. Behind her was the cold mirror, and in front of her was his burning chest. At that moment, she felt like she was in a world of fire and Ice.
Shen Manting slowly closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck. Her obedient look made Xue Chenkongâs body stiffen. The next second, he couldnât help but kiss her even more intensely. When he finally let go of her, Shen Mantingâs tongue was numb from the kiss, and she looked at him with wet eyes.
Xue Chenkongâs heart skipped a beat as he looked at her. He kissed her again, but he suddenly thought of something and asked in a low and hoarse voice, âDoes Ah Ting like children?â
a
Shen Manting looked into the manâs clear eyes. She couldnât read his mind for a moment, so she asked, âWhat about you? Do you like them?â
âI donât like them. Itâs enough for me to have you!â Xue Chenkong just thought about how the child would receive most of Shen Mantingâs love in the future, and he couldnât bear it.
Shen Manting reached out and touched his handsome face. âLife is full of surprises,â she said. âChildren are our continuation. If one day, one of us leaves first, at least weâll have a child to accompany the other.â
As he heard that, Xue Chenkongâs expression turned into one of panic. âI will definitely not let that happen. We will live and die together!
âChenkong⦠â Shen Manting said with a frown.
âDonât say anymore. I donât want to hear it. Iâll carry you to sleep. â Xue Chenkong lay down on the bed with the naked Shen Manting in his arms. At that moment, the fire that had just been extinguished between the two of them was rekindled.
Shen Manting closed her eyes nervously, and Xue Chenkongâs tall figure kissed her again. He was like a man who was hungry for touch. He kissed her all over, and his eyes were red.
Shen Manting could feel his desire and eagerness, but he had not taken the last step.
âAh Ting, I love you so much. Can you kiss me?â he begged in pain.
Shen Manting couldnât help but reach out and touch his face and eyes gently. She held back her shyness and said, âWeâre already married. You can do what a husband and wife does now⦠â Shen Manting had let go of all reservedness as a woman in front of a man.
Xue Chenkongâs smooth forehead was covered with sweat, and his eyes were filled with pain. The next second, he got up and left in a sorry state. âGo to sleep. Iâll go smoke.â
Shen Manting stared at the closed door in shock. She couldnât calm down for a long time. The night before could be explained as him being tired, but what about that night? He was forcing himself not to touch her⦠But why? Shen Manting had a bad feeling about it. In such a situation, if he didnât have a physical problem, then he must have a psychological problem. If it was a psychological problem, then he must have suffered from psychological trauma. But she never knew what other injuries he had besides his congenital disease.
Shen Manting lay there for a long time, but she still couldnât fall asleep. In the end, she got up to look for him. It was so late, and she had no idea where he had gone. She walked straight to the study and saw the door slightly ajar. Shen Manting walked in quietly. As she got closer and closer, she suddenly heard a soft sobbing.
Shen Mantingâs heart felt as if it had been hit by something. She quickly walked over and saw Xue Chenkong, the 1.9-meter-tall man, curled up in a corner. He looked like a little beast who had been injured and was recuperating alone.
Hearing the sound of footsteps, he raised his head and looked over. His clear eyes were glistening with tears, and he looked very fragile and helpless. Shen Mantingâs heart felt as if it was being clenched by a pair of invisible hands. She quickly walked over and said carefully, âChenkong, whatâs wrong?â.
Hearing that, Xue Chenkong slowly turned his head to backface her. It was as if he did not want to be discovered and wished to recuperate alone.
His expression made Shen Manting feel even worse. âWhatâs wrong with you? tell me, and weâll solve it together. â
Xue Chenkongâs body stiffened slightly. Did she find something out?
Shen Manting looked at him. She didnât have the heart to force him, but her heart ached for him. âI wonât ask anymore. Tell me only if you want to say it. Iââ
âThereâs nothing! â Xue Chenkong suddenly interrupted her in agitation, got up, and ran off.
âWait for me!â Shen Manting was worried that he would run out in the middle of the night, so she quickly followed him. Fortunately, he had run back to the bedroom, but he was still curled up and lying down, giving her a lonely back view.
